Comfortable low-cost hotel in the center of the Danish capital
The well located Norlandia Star Hotel is within walking distance of the central train station. The hotel is a perfect starting point to experience all that Copenhagen has to offer. In recent years the hotel's neighborhood of inner Vesterbro has developed into a trendy quarter with designer shops, cozy cafés, and a great selection of exciting restaurants with world cuisine. Guests can sit outdoors on nice days and enjoy a relaxing cup of coffee in the hotel's calm backyard.

Good Value

Centrally located hotel (but in red light district) - good for exploring Copenhagen by foot. Basic amenties. Continental breakfast was fine, the fresh bread was especially good - breakfast was a bit choatic when crowded. Room in roof space (5th floor) was small but clean - needed redecorating and freshening up, but fine if you don't intend spending much time inside. Minimal staff, but friendly - we only saw the receptionist and two staff at breakfast. Not a hotel for spending a lot of time in and relaxing - cheap but good value for money paid.

Disappointing

overall, the hotel's value was reasonable. The room wasn't cleaned every day, the restroom wasn't properly ventilated, and the room wasn't properly illuminated. In contrast, the location (although in a seedy district) was very closer to the train station and the city's center. The staff was helpful and the wifi was free.

Good hotel experience

Vacationing in Denmark was a dream come true. Visited with family and explored. I had tons of problems with my Citibank credit card, that made me stressed out. My hotel was one safe place to relax and take it easy. Staff was great! Tak!

Osaka Sushi next door to the Copenhagen Star was awesome! The restaurant had a running sushi table. Loved it!

Located just behind Central Station

Located just behind Central Station it was a brilliant location. Rooms were nice and the staff were friendly. Tivoli is on the other side of the station and the Hop On Hop Off tour bus is a block away. We really enjoyed out stay here

Can not recommend to stay in this

Can not recommend to stay in this hotel if you are a woman, travelling alone. The hotel is in a red light district. Somebody was trying to scratch my room door around 11:30 at night. Voices in the corridor during night time. Beds are comfortable and rooms are clean, but shower room is old and poor. Only males in the reception. When I arrived I was asked for a credit card in order to make a copy of it. Since I stayed only one night I prefered to pay in cash. Though it said in my voucher "breakfast included", they forgot to give me a card for the breakfast and I had to ask for it .

The location is perfect for a

The location is perfect for a weekend i Copenhagen, close to the train station, Tivoli and Ströget. Spacious room and bathroom. It´s in Cph Red Light District, but not disturbing and the area is suprisingly quiet. Something was growing in the shower, but the rest of the room was clean och looked updated. Expensive breakfast (85ddk/pp), but so was the breakfast at a café (95ddk/pp), so i assume it's ok.
