Buyer Be ware
This hotel is located close to town. It was quite modernly decorated and bathroom floors were heated. There is a mall next door to where you can buy food. If you are returning from a cruise you can take the "HOP on Hop off bus at the cruise terminal and it will bring you The Marriott Hotel, this is a short walk To Copenhagen Island Hotel. You can then use your bus pass to travel around for 48 hours. The negatives about his hotel is we had to wait until three pm to get access to the room, there were two single beds put together, the mattress kept moving around, the sheet was not fitted and exposed the mattress which had spots on it. during the night I fell off the bed and I had nothing to drink.

Contempary Danish design. Immaculate. Several problems ultimately satisfied with price reduction. TV didn't work--took 2 hours to get sevice, but it never did work. Promised an additional single bed which never came (we thought this would put us in a larger room). Must walk down & back up 40 stairs or a long ramp which puts you 300 feet beyond hotel entrance--not fun with luggage. Excellent food in resturant but limited menu & slow service.

Great Stay
We were very impressed with this hotel. The location was great, just one train stop away from Copenhagen Central/Tivoli/etc.. We actually walked to Tivoli and it only took about 15 minutes. The hotel itself was very nice. Very modern with fairly spacious rooms (for Europe at least), clean, etc... We had an actual double bed rather than two singles pushed together, flat screen TV, small closet, mini bar, clean bathroom with shampoo, etc (why is this so uncommon in European hotels?), and even an outlet converter! We would definitely stay there again.

Over-rated, poor location
For $300/nt, wouldn't you expect a clock?! Breakfast (regardless of what you eat -- even one piece of fruit or one bowl of cereal) costs $30. If you're a big, big eater, even then that's a ridiculous price. At first they put me in a smoking room, and took 10 minutes to 'find' me another room because their computer system couldn't tell the desk clerk if any available rooms were non-smoking --also ridiculous. After 17 hours of sleepless travel, a business traveler doesn't need that kind of hassle.

A hotel attempting to be ultra-modern
A hotel attempting to be ultra-modern and failing miserably. The first room assigned on check-in was foul-smelling due to previous smoking. The check-in clerk grudgingly changed the room. The rooms are cramped. The shower is in the bath and the screen to block shower water from the bathroom floor 'leaks' so the floor is wet and slippery. The bathroom door opens into the entranceway, blocking it completely. Why no sliding door? The wash basin is huge. Why? There is limited space to put luggage and the hanging spaceis bloaced by furniture. The rate did not include breakfast and that was available at an expensive DKK150 per person. The location is not easily reached by public transport; the subway is the closest and accessible by many stairs, up and down. The general area is dirty with litter and rundown. One positive is that the largest (?) shopping mall in Copenhagen is adjacent - a cheap way to get breakfast. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone.

service good until check out when a grumpy elitist patronised us. The hotel is modern and impressive. It would be nice to have some coffee and tea available without having to expend 100's through room service.

Please note that the "Best room
Please note that the "Best room rate" rate does not include the breakfast (although it is not expressly stated). I thought that the breakfast was included in my room rate, but it wasn't. Therefore, in my opinion room pricing was too high (if breakfast was included, it would be OK). The hotel and the room are well-designed and look good, athough the room is small and not very convenient. The storage space is insufficient (there is not a single drawer in the room), so we had to keep all our stuff in the suitcases. That's fine for a one or two days stay, but if you are going to stay in Copenhagen longer, choose another hotel. The great thing about this hotel is free WiFi in all the rooms.
