Cheeters!

We have spent way too much money on a hotel basically is a hostel. The shower and the toilet are too close for comfort. We don't get any running water to the bathroom sink. We have to brush our teeth with bottled water which each bottle in Copenhagen will cost you $4 at a 7/11. There isn't a table that I can even comfortably put a 15 inch laptop. This should tell you what kind of room you might be staying in. I do not recommend this place. It is much wiser and a better treatment for yourself to spend maybe $20 more per night and stay in a real hotel.

Little for the money

This hotel was way over priced for what we got. My bathroom was as big as the room, but it was clean and sufficed for our stay overnight. We got in at 9:30 a.m. and the room was not ready for us but they were able to lock up our luggage and we were only 10 minutes from downtown so we walked all over Copenhagen and saw much of the city which was very fun. The hotel is on a very charming street and our view was wonderful. We watched fireworks from our window and listened to the rain on the cobblestone street below. The shower curtain wrapped around the entire bathroom but it was a private bath so that was what we asked for. The Murphy Bed (I call it a Trundle Bed) was hard to get in and my husband pinched his finger pretty badly doing it, so I would suggest leaving that chore for housekeeping.

Sightseeing tip: Short walk from hotel

Copenhagen has free bike rentals all over downtown if you can find them. You just put a coin in and then when you are done, you put the bike back and get your coin back. We were there during a triatholon so there wasn't a bike to be had so we just walked which wasn't at all bad. Most hotels have city maps. Just wear good walking shoes.

Cabinn

The room was VERY small, but functional. The hallway was wooden and anyone walking by make noise on the floor, which squeaked and groaned.

This hotel does exactly what it

This hotel does exactly what it says. Clean, functional, reasonably well located and cheap for Copenhagen. If you just want a place to crash at night, this will do fine. Breakfast was ok, cereal, breads, cold cuts and yoghurt but plenty of it. Location was convenient enough. We walked everywhere (about 15-20 mins to the centre)but if you want to take the metro the two stops it is a one minute walk away. Yes, the rooms are really small and bathroom even smaller, but you already know that before booking and for me it wasn't a problem. Only downside I encountered was it was hot without the window closed but a a bit noisy with it open. Would happily syat at a cabinn again if back in Copenhagen.

Just what it claims

While we were there, we rented bikes from a shop in town. It would have been nice if the hotel had bikes available to rent, as others nearby do. At the same time, the mission of the hotel is to be inexpensive and central, and we certainly got that. CabINN is comfortable and quiet, the staff were very helpful and contributed to our impression of the city, which was wonderful, as promised.

Money-saving tip: Short walk from hotel

When traveling with children, we found it nice to visit the grocery store for breakfast and lunch supplies. The kids got tired of restaurants (which are very expensive in Copenhagen), and they enjoyed a quick bread of bread, jam and fruit and a picnic lunch in a park...less etiquette required for pigeons and swans than for other tourists.

Economical lodgings for ...

Economical lodgings for so close to a city center. Hotel was clean, lobby was cosy, one computer for hotel users free of charge. Rooms however were modular and small. Beds were cot size in width and bathroom is one that you would see in a trailer: toilet, sink and shower was all one standing room only. Since we just wanted a place to sleep while exploring Copenhagen this was perfect for us. It was within walking distance (10 blocks) of the city center. Bus transportation was available for those needing it as well.
