Super Bed & Breakfast
This was a super bed & breakfast with a great location on the canal. It was close to bus stops, canal tours, the Stroget shopping street, and many sidewalk eateries. Breakfast was scrumptuous, with both American and Danish fare. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We would certainly stay there again!

Just wonderful
We arrived late due to missed flight connection, so were tired. The hotel lobby was so inviting, so quaint yet clean. The desk clerk surprised us by upgrading us to the top floor suite at no extra cost. It was just adorable with great views in two directions. There was a loft sitting room. Plenty of room for all of our luggage we were taking on a cruise the next day. The bathroom was good size too. We relaxed in the evening with a walk along the canal, a light dinner with wine then a stop for a waffle cone less than a block from the hotel. The breakfast buffet at the hotel was expensive but looked nice. We opted for complimentary tea & coffee. The staff was very friendly & helpful. The desk clerk gave us a free local call to contact our friends at another hotel about our late arrival. Stayed there again after the cruise. It was just as nice then too.

Unbelievable location for the price
we found the hotel charming. the location was absolutely fantastic for someone who likes good dining and people activity. Found the assigned room extremely small for what we had ordered. Upon talking to front desk we were assigned a very nice corner room. The hotel staff was extremely friendly at front desk. Maid service leaves something to be desired. oVERALL STAY WAS PLEASANT, WILL DO IT AGAIN WITH THE SAME ROOM 522 IN THE NEW BUILDING

Any restaurant in Nyhavn is excellent, our recomendation for the discriminate diner would be sandwiches in the " TOLD OG SNAPS" Is rated the best open sandwich restaurant in Denmark, and rightly so , Fantastic. Also for excellent service and food try the " Hyttefaded" 25 Nyhavn. Ask for "[...]or [...]"

Wonderful hotel - wonderful location
This hotel is perfectly located for enjoying the delights of Copenhagen. We had a harbour view room and it was wonderful to look across the boats right outside the window across to the main harbour. We enjoyed dining at the many restaurants just a few metres up the road and the main attractions of Copenhagen are all within walking distance. The staff are exceptionally helpful and we would recommend this hotel to any visitors to Copenhagen

Take a ride on the canal tours boat. Quite the best one hour trip we have ever done. Reasonable price and gives you an overview of Copenhagen from the water. The tours start in Nyhavn just up the road from the hotel.

Best Hotel in Copenhagen
I highly recommend 71 Nyhaven Hotel. We had the most wonderful stay! The staff is so wonderful, the hotel has so much charm and character and it is in the best possible location. Nyhavn can't be beat. The hotel is right on the harbor and within walking distance of darling restaurants and a very scenic canal lined with boats. On a sunny afternoon everyone came out to have lunch and drink beer and watch the boats. It was so fun! We rented bicycles from the hotel and spent a whole day biking around Copenhagen, which is super biker friendly. You also must take the boat tour and it begins in the canal in front of the hotel. Reading some of the reviews of this hotel I noticed people were disappointed in the bathroom situation. But let me say that part of the charm of Europe is the simple bathrooms and small spaces. The shower has no pan so it drains out on the tile floor. But you quickly get used to it and it's not a big deal. Ask for a room that faces the harbor because the view is amazing! The outside of the hotel is also so cool. It is an old warehouse that use to store spices. So cool!! We could go for runs along the river right out our door. I can't say enough about our wonderful time in Copenhagen! Thank you 71 Nyhavn Hotel for a great vacation!!

Money-saving tip:
Not Applicable
If you rent a car to drive over to Sweden, make sure you take the ferry. We had to pay a $50 toll each way to get across the bridge. Yikes! Nobody told us and we were shocked! Made our day much more expensive! But it was nice to see the quaint old fishing villages in southern coastal Sweden. Be sure to go to Skanor down in the southwestern tip.

Very charming hotel with great location. The standard rooms are as small as you can get them (at least ours was). The breakfast is extra, and quite expensive.. Alice, from Norway

Great location
The hotel is perfectly situated at the end of Nyhavn canal, on the corner overlooking the busy harbour. The hotel has managed to preserve much of it's past history as a warehouse with the original wooden ceiling beams remaining in each room. From the closest metro station 'Kogens Nyhavn' it's just a 5 minute walk and very easy to access both the main shopping street and the infamous Little Mermaid statue. The bathroom felt well used and a bit on the small side. We were expecting a bath only to find a walk in shower. The breakfast in the morning was great, plenty of breads and cheeses. Be warned that although you may book a deal that includes breakfast, the hotel said to me that they have discontinued this at there end, so they may try and charge you for the breakfast, however they happily obliged with no quibbles when this was pointed out. All staff were friendly, professional and knowledgeable. This hotel would best suit a couple on a short break.

Dining tip:
Short walk from hotel
Nyhavn has a handful of restaurants along the canal offering everything from traditional Danish dishes to Pizzas. Although this area is known for being slightly on the pricey side, we found the 'Cap Horn' restaurant to be the best during our short stay. Expect to pay around 50-60 pounds for one course and a drink depending on exchange rates.

Location is brilliant with transport
Location is brilliant with transport going right past the door. Restaurants and bars abound in Nyhavn, although very expensive. Initially disappointed by our room as it stank of smoke, however this was remedied and we were upgraded to an excellent non-smoking room. The views from our room were stunning. The staff were extremely attentive and friendly. The in house restaurant was very good and we also ate at connected hotels in this group and found the standard to be excellent. Be aware that most shops/restaurants are closed on Sundays. We highly recommend 71 Nyhavn Hotel.

Good, fun stay in Copenhagen
When we checked in we found our room "very" small. Looking out the windows we saw only pipes. We had purchased an upgraded room with harbor view, 1-double bed and 1-single bed. (was charged and extra $30/night for this upgrade. Told front desk that this was not the type room we had confirmation for and they changed our room to a little larger with 1-double bed and harbor view. [...]
