Passable Prague Place

The Seifert hotel tried; they really did. It was nothing special though the place was nice enough and clean enough. I can't point to anything that was particularly good, although the price wasn't bad, but there were some definite problems. For one thing, the free breakfast was terrible. I mean, really really bad. They did things with the eggs that probably violated the Geneva convention. Also, the choice of having all the floors in the building tiled was a poor one. The result is a giant echo-chamber where you get to hear everyone coming and going at all hours. The shower had was terrible, with doors that didn't quite close and water pressure so bad that they probably could have been left open anyway. It is also in a not very good neighborhood, so the nice little balcony on my room looked out over a bunch of decaying buildings with nothing but a glimpse of the tops of nearby zizkov tower and a cathedral to alleviate the grim scene. If I had been on the other side of the building, I wouldn't have even gotten that. All in all, a decent place if you don't mind shady neighborhoods and just want a clean comfortable bed. Oh, and bring a pair of earplugs unless you are a really sound sleeper.
