Praga 1 Hotel Prague

Overall, it was a good hotel, with an excellent breakfast buffet and a very good location. All the touristic places, malls, restaurants were in short walking distance and the neighbourhood was very quiet. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful, but at times a little uninterested. But they always had the right answers. The airport shuttle had good and friendly drivers and was easy to recognize. About the room: we had a little problem with maintaining temperature in the room, which in this time of year (February) is necessary to be comfortable. The room's furnishing was sufficient, but the walls didn't have much decoration so that it was not as cosy as you'd expect. The wifi didn't work inside the room, you'd need to go into the hallway. On the positive side: there was an easy-to-use safe locker, the room was quite spacious and the bed was SUPERB! We had a very good night's rest in it.

This hotel is like what we have come to expect from your average american hotel. Decent sized room, nice little clean bathroom, maid service. Room service is only for the complementary breakfast, otherwise they have none. I didn't try that out, always went downstairs and got it myself. Close to the wenceslas square, close to a metro station/trams. NOTE: They do not run the free shuttle anymore to/from the airport so don't bother waiting at the place they say, just take a cab.

The details made what could have been a decent stay a bit regrettable. Internet was free, but sometimes unreliable. Breakfast was ok. Rooms clean and with good space, but the TV was very limited and I only had BBC World as an English-speaking station. Coffee service in room never refilled and only provided tea...no coffee. Location is great and if you are not high-maintenance then you can be happy here.

What a beautiful city - it is just simply breathe taking. And what a wonderful city to get engaged in. My finance proposed on the Charles Bridge - it was beautiful. BTW I did say "YES!"

This hotel was close to attractions, clean and worth the money. It included breakfast, but unlike their advertising pictures, there was nothing hot on the buffet any day and the orange juice was watered down to where it tasted like water.

Pick you up at airport. A clean hotel. It's located close to the Karlovo Mestro (Metro system). Enjoyed breakfast which was included. Staff friendly and helpful with directions. The shower is a bit tiny. Hotel located on a busy street, but in November, the traffic noise could not be heard.

We arrived and found that it did not live up to its 4 star description.It would be better suited as a 2/3 star.No bath and very basic.I would not reccomend this hotel to anyone who is used to a certain standard [...]

Our hotel stay was adequate, but who can take a shower in that little space???According to your instructions, upon arrival at the Prague Airport my company proceeded directly to terminal 2, Gate E(where all of the taxis/shuttles were located). We arrived at the gate approximately 0945 hours local time. We diligently looked for a driver that would deliver us to the Praga 1 hotel. Ten AM passed so we continued to wait looking amongst all of the taxis and shuttles that were there waiting to pick up passengers for various hotels/destinations. About 1030 hours I contacted the hotel and asked about the driver, the clerk indicated that the driver had picked up a passenger at the airport at 1000 hrs. This is a puzzle to me, since we had three of us looking for anything that resembled a shuttle to Praga 1. There were, in fact, many shuttle drivers in the lobby at Terminal 2, Gate E, because we specifically looked/searched each one in hopes of finding the shuttle driver. In any event, the clerk at the hotel told us that the driver would return for a 1200 hrs pickup. Once again, we were there waiting, observing a new host of shuttle drivers and the driver to Praga 1 was not visible to my party members. Shortly after this, and still without transportation to our hotel, we found it necessary to employ a taxi driver. This taxi driver resulted in a 611.00 Koruna expense. We attempted to discuss this with the hotel staff, but they would not budge from their position.
