Great price for a great hotel!
This hotel was perfect for our weekend getaway! The room was beautiful, clean, and the staff were incredibly helpful! Upon checking in we were greeted by the receptionist with a traditional Czech shot which was delicious! Then the receptionist explained on a map where we were and what trams to take where, VERY helpful! The hotel was a 30 minute walk to Old Town or a shorter tram ride (we choose to walk along the river). The only issue we had with the hotel was there was no real shower, just a bath with a removable head. Their breakfast was alright, but it was free none the less! All in all we had an amazing stay and WILL stay there again.

Long walk from hotel
We did a city tour with Free Tours that the hotel recommended and was just based on tips. The tour guide was amazing and very knowledgeable. He took us all around the city and showed us the main tour spots as well as shared history and fun facts about the places we were seeing. Later that same day we did a paid tour of the Prague castle for 10 euro. This was also amazing, again our tour guide was VERY knowledgeable and fun. Not only did she show us the castle but along the way she showed us a few churches, monasteries, and amazing views of the city.

King Charles Hotel. Prague
Very dissapointed with this so called 4 star hotel. Staff not very friendly, bedrooms dull, old fashioned & the beds very hard, so if you have a bad back, BEWARE. Also we were very unlucky to have very noisy people above us, partying till early hours, no-one seemed to care!! Food average but acceptable. We ordered a taxi from the airport, & back, we were kept waiting going back as no-one turned up!!! hense nearly late for our flight. To be honest I was glad to go home.

Great place for a great price!
The room was excellent and the staff very helpful. The hotel is located only a 15-20 min walk from downtown Prague. If you don't like to walk, you can take the tram which is located about 3 blocks away. The hotel is also close to some excellent restaurants. Traditional Czech and other cuisines can be found within a short distance. Highly recommend the Italian restaurant "La Boheme" on Vratislavova.

First visit to Prague
I selected this hotel based on other reviews on Orbitz. Prauge is a much larger city than anticipated so the location was not as central as I originally expected but it was very easy to get to the center of town via tram. The rooms are beautiful. The jacuzzi listed in the hotel description is a jacuzzi-style tub. The description also lists a fitness center and room service however these do not exist at the hotel. The hotel will help you order a pizza to your room which is very nice. Overall the staff is very helpful and friendly. The breakfast at this hotel is also very delicious.

make very carefull consideration to stay here,,,,,
this hotel is much further away from town than explained, it also has no bar, no internet access, no air conditioning, we were also told we had a superior upgrade,, wow was that wrong,, the room was very basic, and dident have any sky tv as said in advert, the twin beds were screwed together with 8IN boards to make a double, but still had single bedding, in the 7 nights there the room was never vacmumed, or swept, we found 5 screws and about 15 staples around the floor over the week, some piercing our feet, before we found them, there was no hot water most evenings, we had to take a bath in same warm water each night, no shower at all, safe in room dident work also, there was 1 staff member who really stood out, been there the longest, could be at wrong hotel thou,,, much to good for this place, we wouldent ever reccomend this hotel to anyone else,, it was like staying in a nil star hostel, only much much worse,, nothing was like the ad said at all, tried to move on second day but couldent find anywhere that had vacancies in town that week,,,PLEASE BE WARNED, VERY VERY ROUGH AND READY, BUILDERS TYPE LODGINGS,,,, HOTEL,,,, NEVER,,,,,,,,,

Great Value
Our stay at the King Charles Residence was great. We received a really spacious room with all the accommodations we were promised on the website, including a jacuzzi bathtub, which was great after a long day of walking around the cobblestone streets of Prague. Breakfast was a nice added bonus with good coffee and juice available. Overall, a really great value. However, I never found directions on how to get to the hotel upon arrival at the train station, so we ended up taking a 15 minute detour to eventually get to the right street, so make sure you know exactly how to get there before you arrive!

We enjoyed our stay at the King
We enjoyed our stay at the King Charles and appreciated the special decorative touches of the rooms and lobby. The reception staff were helpful and were mostly able to communicate in English. It was nice having a bath in our en suite instead of a shower. I wouldn't advise using the spa feature though, as it ended up spewing some dirt/grit on me and I had to rinse myself off and redraw my bath! I found the bed very comfortable, and although I am a light sleeper and we had a room facing the street, I had absolutely no problem with noise - it was delightfully quiet. I would have appreciated some extra TV channels (there were only 4) and a more varied breakfast (accommodating to vegetarians). The tea and kettle in the room was a welcome surprise. We didn't appreciate the a noisy TV in the breakfast room. Once I muted the sound, only for a staff member to come and turn it back up! I rate this hotel positively and recommend it as an affordable and comfortable option in an expensive city.

Good quality hotel
We arrived at the hotel a couple of hours before check-in time, nevertheless the room was waiting for us. However, the entire check-in process took quite a long time. The room was located at second floor, overlooking the street at the railway line. However, thanks to double glazed windows there was little noise reaching us. The room was very well furnished with crystal chandeliers and a bathroom featuring a jacuzzi bathtub! Something extraordinary considering the price! Unfortunately, the interior of the closets could use some considerable dusting! The hotel was located a little bit outside of the centre but the Stare Mesto and Hradcany were easily accessible by tram. Overall, the hotel represents extraordinary value for money and good service although it is not exactly centrally located.
