HOTEL Residence MALA STRANA is located in a historical building in PRAGUE Lesser Town close to the PRAGUE Castle, OLD TOWN Square, CHARLES BRIDGE and WENCESLAS Square. An original old Prague building, which has been fully and harmoniously redeveloped to offer 35 apartments. Each suite has bathroom with shower and hair-dryer, direct-dial telephone, satellite TV and in-room safe. Some of the suites have also a kitchenette. Furthermore the hotel has 24 hours reception service, lobby bar, breakfast room and business and tourist information.

Good value for the money

do not expect anything extra : no daily soap,shampoo or conditioner. Two bottles with something soapy are bolted to the wall. Very friendly and helpful staff at the reception Good location - walking distance to everything OK breakfast. As I said, if you are not picky and visit Prague for sightseeing then this hotel is OK

Good location for exploring Prague

Good location next to Petrin Park (look out for the Red squirrels!) and funicular railway. About 15 minutes walk to Charles Bridge and Wencelas Square and 25 mins to Prague Castle or easy tram ride (No 22). Good breakfast and was very quiet at night when we were there. Plenty of cafes and restaurants within easy walking distance.

Time-saving tip: Not Applicable

The 24 hour transport ticket is great value at 110Kc (about £4). It allows you to just hop on and off trams and metro all day long. Very useful if you only have a limited amount of time to get round all the main sights.

Problème de chauffage et internet

Pas de chauffage dans la chambre pendant 3 jours, réparé après.. La connexion internet dans la chambre ne fonctionnait pas (adresse IP non reconnue) contrairement à ce que l'hotel annonce. Elle fonctionnait par contre au niveau de la réception de l'hotel. Aucun effort n'a été fait pour régler ce problème malgré mes demandes répétées.
