Misleading information on the front page stating "airport shuttle included". They only provide a pick up, not a drop off, which was precisely what I needed. I am not sure what was going on with their bed mattresses, but you would not be able to lay on them comfortably, leave alone to sleep on them. It literally felt like a wooden board was underneath the sheet. The portable shower was hooked on the wall at your knees level, so you would have to hold it in your hand if you needed to water yourself. Breakfast was good, but they didn't have the decaf. coffee. The bar right across the street from a hotel is open very late and every night I heard physical fighting that was going on in front of it for a while. No police was ever present. The hotel interior was beautiful, as well as the interior of the room that I was staying in,but the comfort comes first with me and I would not stay there again.

A nice, old, but well-renovated place
A very nice breakfast buffet! The front desk people were extremely helpful and friendly! A spacious room, but the old bed was creaky and the TV got only two English-language channels. The hotel efficiently arranged a car pick-up and return to the airport.

Long walk from hotel
Go online to get the concert schedule of Smetana Hall in the Municipal Building: there are a lot of very good concerts there. Across the square is the Palladium shopping center, which has some very nice shops and wonderful restaurants.

Clean, moderately priced hotel
The hotel is located south of the main tourist places such as Old Town Square, but there are good tram connections to the Castle (Tram #22, three blocks away) and to the center of Prague (Tram #14 which stops 50 yards from the Hotel). Staff is friendly and helpful. Breakfast is satisfactory and includes scrambled eggs. Free transfer from airport applies ONLY to travel FROM the airport, so if you come to Prague other than by air, you will have to pay for travel TO the airport from the hotel (about $42 by cab).

Short walk from hotel
Cabs are expensive in Prague, and for getting around, the trams are easy to use. 24-hour tickets are available at Metro Stations for 110 Crowns (about $7).

Pleasant, affordable and quiet...
Although a distance from the hub, I enjoyed walking everywhere and taking the tram. I went to the opera, ballet, museums, the castle and probably walked hundreds of miles. The history, architecture, music and art are magnificant. A must see!

Don't fall for the "0" commission places to exchange your currency...you are better off using your debit at the ATM. Better rate in Prague than in US.

We booked this room for 2 nights only because it was pricier, thinking it would be a nice end to our vacation since we stayed at a 3 star inn the first 4 nights, which turned out to be the nicer of the two. The good: Nice size room and bathroom, combination safe, electric water pot for hot beverages, good location. The bad: no wi-fi except near the smoky bar. Being non-smokers, this was most unpleasant. The people at the front desk were not at all apologetic about it and even got an "oh well" look from one. There was no clock radio in the room as there should have been according to the amenities. The coffee cups in the room looked clean but when I picked them up off the saucer, they were both sticky; yuck. The step-on trash can in the bathroom was missing protective covering that goes over the rod you step on; not pleasant with bare feet. The bathroom and coffee cups were not cleaned and supplies were not replenished the next day. The bed was rock hard and I could not get a good nights sleep even though I can only sleep on a firm mattress. The pillows were also flat, heavy, and hard. The bath towels were very rough, only hand-held shower with too short shower curtain; floor got all wet. The toilet is way too high. I'm 5'2" and could not touch the floor! You may laugh, but it wasn't conducive to doing business! I brought my suitcase in to rest my feet on. Included buffet breakfast: if you like bread you will love this buffet as there are baskets upon baskets of bread and pastries. There was also plain, chocolate and almond yogurt, sweet cereals, cold mini hot dogs, scrambled eggs, some sort of sausage flavored bread patty, sliced cucumbers, tomatoes, salami, ham, cheeses, fruit, various spreads, juices, and the worst coffee in the world. It was not fresh, but came out of a machine. However, they will sell you a cup of fresh espresso!

Excellent
I learned from a tourguide that Prague has an oversupply of hotel rooms. This far exceeded my expectations. It was very luxurious and did have a tub/shower combination. The room was huge and had a minibar which I used to stash a couple of grocery store items (money-saver). The staff was friendly, the breakfast totally awesome and great places to eat only minutes away to walk to. There is a very nice restaurant catty-corner across the street where the owner stands outside with his menu and says "Come in to MY restaurant". We went there twice and the food was very good and typically Czech and not expensive. Good and inexpensive opportunities are all over Prague. The Franz Kafka Cafe was fun. Enjoyed the Jewish Quarter. The day trip to Therezin is worth the trip to be sure nobody forgets history. This hotel would have been WAY out of my league in the US!!

Good value
Compared well to other european hotels where i have stayed. Nice, upgraded bathrooms, comfortable beds. Breakfast buffet was good, not great. Ex., fruit nectars instead of juices, eggs hard boiled instead of a choice of less firm. Most of the staff was Czech, but at least one was not and gave a less than authentic experience. The cost was reasonable for what I got.
