Dining

The Knights' Hall
The Knights' Hall reflects the atmosphere of the 17th century. It was formerly a riding-hall. Today, the Knights' Hall ranks among the most attractive restaurants in Prague thanks to its collection of historical weapons and decoration as well as its interior with vaulted ceilings. The guests are surrounded by a medieval atmosphere accentuated by stylish period music. With a bit of luck, you may witness a knights' tournament accompanied by gorgeous dancers and a performance by a Turkish fakir. Moreover, our chefs and professional staff will make your experience truly memorable. The wine list, which specializes in high quality domestic wines, will make your stay in the Knights' Hall even more pleasant.

Picturesque and well located in the old town

The restaurant room and the corridors are decorated in a middleage style, which look fine! Breakfasts are delicious and copious. I requested an iron board and an iron and got them right away. I also requested a coffe maker, but I couldn't have it, even on the third day! Coffee makers are very scarce in the hotel.

Good location, good breakfast, bit dated

Stayed here for a few nights while on a weekend break (Dec 2011) , Location of hotel is pretty good not a long walk to the Charles Bridge or the castle but probably seemed longer as it was cold. During the summer i guess it would be a nice stroll across the pretty park and there is a museum very close and the river. Hotel Room was ok i booked a twin room which was small and a bit dated, felt a bit like staying with an elderly relative but it was clean and the bed was comfortable enough. The bathroom is on the small side like a little cabin inside the room, with a shower that never quite got to the right temperature too hot or too cold. Breakfast was good a nice selection of hot and cold food; bread, yoghurts, cheeses and meat and then hot foods were generally scrambled egg, sausages, Toast. Also a good selection of teas and coffee. The general feel of the hotel is Gothic, like a lot of hotels in prague seems a bit dated though but was clean and presentable. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful one night i had to ask for some extra pillows and duvets and they bought these up quickly to my room. I also asked for the internet WIFI password, a lot of reviews said this was not free but they just gave me the password and i was able to access it for free . Overall pleasant stay good enough for somewhere to crash after a long day walking around prague.

good location!

this hotel is about a ten minute walk from the Charles Bridge- not bad at all. very convienient. the staff was very helpful and the breakfast wasnt bad- the beds however felt like we were sleeping on a table with a blanket on it. just awful. other than the beds we had a delightful stay.

Exceptional location for this

Exceptional location for this charming hotel. Standard rooms, but good quality of service, very convenient price and good breakfast (i suggest to try the homemade cake). The armory room where the bar and restaurant is located is stunning and very well refurbished. The hotel is very quiet between the canal and a pedestrian street.

Awesome, great food, and great location

We spent a lot of time walking - very convenient to Charles Bridge, Old Town and New Town. You can do Prague easily on foot but the trams and metro are quite convenient as well. It would have been nice to have had a sauna there but it was close to a Thai massage place so that was a plus. Great places to eat all around the hotel - Thai, Czech, Mexican, etc. The decor was Medieval style and done really well. The breakfast was well stocked with lots of choices - vegetables, meats, cheeses, eggs (scrambled and poached), cereal, etc. The maids were friendly and helpful. Unfortunately we had a bad stomach virus while we were there and their method of cleaning glasses left a bit to be desired - nowhere near the sanitary requirements here in the States but that is true throughout Eastern Europe.

Best Western Kampa

Beware the description Orbitz provides: "Every room has own bathroom and offers high-speed Internet connection." Yes, my room had a bathroom. Yes, they OFFERED high speed internet, BUT the internet 'offered' was offered at about $20 USD per day. I think they need to add a comment about this in the description as it is misleading.

Dining tip: Short walk from hotel

Plan on getting ripped off big time in Prague. Restaurants will add mysterious fees to the check, change prices, charge more for tap water than beer, etc. Some tricks they use is to post specials and then charge double for them. When questioned you're pretty much told "Yes, that's the price if you sat inside." (or outside - always the opposit where you sat). I would NOT recommend Prague to anyone.

Wonderful oldish styled hotel

Wonderful oldish styled hotel - medieval theme was fascinating! Also as in many places - no airconditioning. Central to old castle and walking distance to town. On the "old side of town" - Not an accurate map on the website of where this hotel is, but eventually found it!!!

Ottima posizione e buon rapporto

Ottima posizione e buon rapporto qualità prezzo.
