Floris Suite Hotel

The hotel was great. The whole place was low key and very realxed. The staff were helpful and pleasant. We loved our room, we had a royal suite with a pool view. The room was huge and the kitchen was well stocked and functional. The hotel was close to downtown, the airport and a grocery store. The grounds were simple and beautiful, nothing grandiose or crazy, they were just right. Even the hotel was not directly on a beach, there was one across the street and very easy to get to. The pool and pool deck were great for passing the afternoon dozing, reading and soaking up the sun. The only disappointment was out first night and they were over booked, even though we had prepaid the room through the online service. They arranged for us to stay at the 'Hel-ton' accorss the street, that place had terrrible rooms. The rooms were dirty, badly needing repair and not as nice as the Floris. And the whole feel was different over there. The only other criticism is the music around the pool during the day, they really need to change it from the poppy/hip hoppy stuff to some sort of chillout lounge type stuff, relaxing hip music. (like they were playing in the lobby) That would have made it perfect. Looking forward to our next stay at this wonderful little hotel.

Beautiful grounds, spacious rooms, good wifi, friendly staff and a comfortable lobby with a great sound system. We were more impressed with Floris then previous reviews lead us to expect, but than we always travel with the assumption that no facility is perfect. Floris staff does try hard to make your stay relaxed and enjoyable. The restaurant is crowded at breakfast so know that it will take time for you to be served. Relax, listen to the birds, read or think about nothing. For us Floris was a refuge, particularly after a long day exploring the island. Loved lounging around the pool. Great value.

This is a very nice hotel, with kindy people that like to help you. First of all I did not understand this was not a hotel at the beach but ijn the end of the day it was not so dramatic. The most beautiful and interesting beaches in the island are in a driving distance and better have a reantal car!! About the restaurant I would say, the food presentation and taste are great but prepare your self for a slow food realy!

The Floris is nicely situated in Piscadera bay by the Hilton and the Marriott. However, it is not on the water. The hotel is very hip and cool. The staff is friendly mostly. The rooms are really nice and spacious. The furniture a are nice and bed is comfy. TVs are big and the kitchen is well equipped. There isn't much to do or see around that area so you will need a car to get around. The price is reasonable and I will definitely go back.

Just came back from my first visit to Curacao. Loved the Floris. Zoleika, Albertus, and Xionira were amazing and my favorite staff. The room comes with a full kitchen so stock up at Duty Free on alcohol. The hotel offers a free shuttle to town twice daily at 9am and 4pm. The taxi's are expensive and will charge $25 each way usually. Night life is good and will return. The Pool View room is a must!

The experience that I had was great, eventhough it wasn't a planned vacation, it was an emergency flight, my stay here was great.

The set up of the hotel is great. Staff was ok. The waitresses were very friendly but both receptionist at check in and check out needed a smile on their faces. Restaurant Sjalotte was really nice. Our room was really nice but the entire bathroom were really nasty.The toilet seat were discolored yellow and were not cleaned correctly. When the seat is up, you can see the bottom of it was not cleaned. There was an awful smell coming from the face basin and the water took a while to drain down. The shower was horrific. There was mold on the silicon and the ceiling. The rope where you can hang your 'laundry' was moldy. We kept fighting with front door to get it locked. Every time we close it, you can push it open. Be careful with that. Our room number was 5! Be careful. This is situated next to the restaurant and if you walk out unprepared to the living area, someone might be able to see you. The gardener came close to seeing me only in my undies. Curtains are not thick enough. Very see through

When we first arrived we were placed in a room that was sub-par. We immediatley requested a new room and withing 20 minutes our request was granted., Other than a regrigerator that was not operating properly but was replaced the remainder of the trip was pretty much trouble free. Service was very good and the people were pleasant. Walk to the beach but no problem at all. Good location and beautiful garden grounds with tropical birds to match. Excellent value! We would return for more! :)

The hotel was very nice, The rooms were clean and the staff was friendly. The private beach was not the best but other good beaches were only a short ride or drive away. The dining in the hotel was pretty expensive but the Pirate Bay place across the street was a little cheaper and very good. I would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Curacao. Willemstad is only a 5 minute drive away and you can take the bus there. Overall a very good vacation.
