We chose the Palace Hotel in Zagreb
We chose the Palace Hotel in Zagreb because of its proximity to the Railway Station. We were pleasantly surprised to find this fine old hotel was conveniently located at a tram stop (every few minutes and free from the Railway Station) and just a few kuna from the Bus Station. The hotel was quiet well maintained and very comfortable. The service could not be faulted and the breakfast was quite adequate for a European hotel. Additionally it is located across the road from a glorious park a short 10 minute walk to the centre of the city or just jump on the tram as it is still within the free travel precinct.

Perfect location
We could walk the town from this location. Just 4 blocks from the train station and 4 blocks the opposite direction to the center of town main square. Quiet location, good eating spots to walk to and redecorated rooms. Many Americans come here. Buffet breakfast is full of protein and choices in nice restaurant setting.
