beautiful, comfortable, great breakfast
we loved this hotel and it was close enough to walk from the train station...staff was wonderful, hotel the most comfortable we stayed in on our 30 day trip...we left it for Slovenia and returned for two more days before heading to Dubrovnik...would go back again

One of the nicest hotels we have
One of the nicest hotels we have stayed at. Close to the train station and only 10 minutes walk to the city centre. Our room was large, comfortable & clean. The hotel facilities are very good. The breakfast was great, with a large range of foods to choose from. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely return if in Zagreb again.

Superb!!!
I suffered a bad ankle sprain and the hotel staff were very very helpful in providing ice, directions to the local pharmacy, delayed check out.

Take a hotel business card with you to show taxi drivers......Zagreb taxi drivers tend to let you get in the cab and THEN they will try to figure out where the destination is by cell phone or radio as they drive around.

Good Hotel, Good Location
Stayed here in early September 2009. A good hotel, clean but small rooms, friendly staff, great breakfast. Location is close to the centre with 5-10 min walking to all major sites. Good restaurant nearby. Ask at the reception as you'll miss it for sure. A little on the expensive side for my taste, but overall a great stay.

Best Western Astoria Au 09
The room was clean, the bathroom well organized. The only bad thing was perhaps the bed. There was only one not-so-great pillow and the cover looked old. Otherwise, it was good for the price. The breakfast included in the price was quite decent. The hotel is very close to the main train station and to the tram stop which takes you to the main bus station. It was also close to the post office (open almost 24 hrs) and to the main underground shopping center.

Location is convenient, very close to the main square and all the restaurants and cafes. There weren't that many people in Zagreb in August though, which was a surprise.

Kommen wieder!
Da wir nur eine Nacht in Zagreb waren, wollten wir ein Hotel, dass vom BusTerminal gut zu erreichen war und auch nicht weit vom Stadtzentrum entfernt war. Diese 2 Aspekte hat das Astoria erfüllt. Das Preis/Leistungs-Verhältnis hat uns sehr zufrieden gestellt.

super Stadthotel
Das Hotel liegt sehr zentral in der Zagreber Innenstadt. Alle Sehenswürdigkeiten sind fußläufig erreichbar. Das Personal an der Rezeption verfügt über gute Englischkenntnisse und war bei Fragen sehr hilfsbereit. Manchmal dauerte es etwas länger, bis beim Frühstücksbüffet nachgelegt wurde.
