Atrium Hotel

We stayed at the Atrium for 3 nights in June as part of self drive tour. We found the hotel easily and were lucky to get "free" parking adjacent to the entrance. The hotel was clean and modern. Our room was spacious. We would have liked to have a kettle in the room for a cup of tea, but there was a minibar! The reception staff were helpful and spoke good English, they enjoyed our attempt to say thank you in Croation!! It is only about 20 minutes gentle walk into the old town from the hotel so no need for taxis or bus. We managed to squeeze in one swim and sauna and steam which was great

Overall hotel quality is very good, no complaints about the room. Breakfast buffet more than OK. The location is very close to the historic center (only a 20min. walk). Only complaint was that when I asked for an aspirin at the reception because I had a headache around 11PM, I got back a not-so-kind reply that I should go search for a pharmacy, that was a hotel after all...

It is not directly in the center, but it is still very close (within walking distance). It is unfortunate that the view from the rooms is not that great with the exception of a few on the upper floors on the coastal side, but for the rest it was a good experience.

excellent hotel and the location was good - 20 minute walk to the port. The staff were very afficient and nothing was a trouble to them. The breakfast was very good with a large range of foods - something for everyone. We would certainly stay at this hotel again.

[...] We stayed here in August 2010 in two rooms on the first floor. The pool and wellness centre has just opened. The facilities at this hotel are very good - great rooms with excellent quality bathrooms and very comfortable beds. The wellness centre has a lovely steam and sauna as well as pool. Not at all busy when we were there but still very new.On the negative - it's situated in a very ordinary part of town with a 10 to 15 min walk to the old town/sea. Also, the service wasn't what you'd expect in a hotel of this rating. The canned music(which is the same every day) was quite loud on the first floor corridor and could be heard clearly in both bedroom and bathroom of one of our rooms. When I asked for it to be turned down I was told it was hotel policy that it be on til 10pm each night and although I asked twice nothing was done about the volume. Breakfast was a bit of a scrum and only average quality. A sandwich at the bar wasn't great and the evening dining options were uninspiring. Booking routine services like a taxi/sorting out the bill took quite a while. A slow-draining sink was eventually fixed by my engineer husband after a request to have it looked at wasn't acted on. No one knew how to used the room safe and we were advised not to bother.

Hotel room was lovely, clean and spacious. We were expecting the spa to be open and had asked about this before departure only to find that it was closed and no alternative offered which was far from satisfactory! Generally the service was good except from the surley bar staff who were uncooperative and refused to provide coffee after 10.00pm when the coffee machine had been cleaned! Not even instant coffee could be provided which in a 5* establishment has to be questioned!

Not in old town but only a short walk. Very friendly and helpful staff! Great breakfast. Nice,large lobby. Complimentary internet terminal would be an asset. Tremendous, new shopping center right behind hotel. Airport shuttle will drop you off right at hotel for 5 euros per person.

The location was good ,but the first time it was not easy to follow the shortest rute. It would be kinder to show how to access from a bus terminal , a ferry terminal and a station in the hotel site . The stuff are all kind and speak clear English.

A very comfortable hotel which was a 20 minutes easy walk to the old town. Breakfast and services excellent. We would choose to stay here again.
