Overlooking the waterfront promenade in the heart of the medieval Hvar town, Riva, one of Croatia's trendiest boutique hotels, offers you the finest in Adriatic ambiance. Incorporating a beautiful 100-year-old building, Riva brings together the best of both worlds: old world charm and state of the art luxury. You'll find yourself at home in one of Riva's rooms featuring uniquely designed interiors, contemporary furnishings and an exceptional view of sunsets over the Paklinski Islands combined with the first row overview of the Hvar party scene.
Split International Airport.
The hotel is located about 200 meters from the town square, right in the town harbour, next to catamaran terminal.

My wife & I really liked the hotel location but otherwise it was just another place to stay. The bed was hard and pillows not soft. Breakfast buffet was not enjoyable.
We also stayed at the Palace Hotel and prefer the Riva.
Hotel features (5 = best, 1 = worst):
Short walk from hotel
Be sure to eat at Gariful a few steps from the hotel. All of the menu items were fresh & delicious.
Unfortunately, although I had reserved my hotel room 3 1/2 months before, on arriving at the Riva hotel, nicely located on the waterfront, I was told that my 3 day reservation could only be for 2 days, but that I could transfer to their sister
hotel. At the sister hotel, there also was a problem, since they had a wedding there that night, and I would be inconvenienced by noise. I went back to the first hotel, checked in, unpacked and we went to dinner. After dinner, we discovered that the room air conditioner was not working. We then packed again, went back to the sister hotel, but felt that our first day in Hvar was ruined. The hotel did make accomodation to us, but there was no getting back the first day. I had to guarantee my reservation with my credit card, but what was their guarantee to me??
