- Area description
- Kolocep Island is an ideal base for exploring Dubrovnik, the other Elafiti Islands, and the southern coast of Croatia. The public ferry offers inexpensive transportation to Dubrovnik (25 minute ride), as well as the islands of Lopud (15 minute ride) and Sipan (25 minute ride), so the visitor can spend a day or less discovering the beauty of each location. Day trips are available to explore the wine making region of Peljesac, visit the town of Ston with the second longest wall after the Great Wall of China, also known for its oysters. A 40 minute boat ride will take you to the 15th century gardens of Trsteno. Kotor in Montenegro, the only fjord in southern Europe and Mostar, known for its beautiful bridge in Bosnia are also day trips from Kolocep Island.

A la carte menu is available lunch and dinner daily. Generous healthy breakfast and dinner buffets are available during high season.
- La Trattoria Vila Lovor
- Vila Lovor is one of the properties of Hotel Villas Kolocep. Built during the 1930's, La Trattoria Villa Lovor was renovated in November 2007. Its patio with centennial palm trees provides a terrace of exceptional beauty, with a view onto Donje Celo Bay. Homemade pizza, pasta and salads offer a tasty meal from 10 until 22H. During high season, fresh grilled sardines with live music on Fridays offer guests of the hotel the opportunity to meet the islanders.
- Villa Ruza Restaurant and Lounge Bar
- The romantic a la carte Villa Ruza Restaurant is located at the end of the bay with beautiful views onto the Elafiti Islands. Guests can taste the inventive Mediterranean cuisine or enjoy fresh cocktails in the trendy Lounge bar.
