Maestral Vis Hotel

Terrible!!!! The customer service is not good. The staff was extremely rude. The hotel was not going to honor my reservation they were trying to send me to the sister hotel down the street. It wasn't on the beach like the hotel I booked. They stuffed us in a very small, cramped, and outdated room. It was supposed to be a non-smoking, garden view room but it ended up being a smoking room with a view of a parking lot. It was loud and we could hear the trash men picking up trash cans with trash compacting trucks. There was a light right outside of the window that was always shining in the window. It was a huge disappointment.

This is definately a 3 star hotel. However, the view is pure 5 star. Located right on Lapad Beach, the Hotel is right on a stopping point for the number 4 bus, which takes you right into the old City (only 10 minutes away ). Breakfast was OK - variety of foods good but coffee/juice/ yoghurt needs improvement. Staff were all helpful. I would recommend the Hotel Vis. Please remember that it is a 3 star hotel with a killer view and not the other way around

We didn't expect much from 3 star hotel but one thing we do expect when we go on a holiday is a correct behavior from the employees of the hotel. Most of the people were politically correct thou' and the floor cleaners very nice. But the people who worked at the reception were totally amateur and immature when it comes to custom service. Rude i could say. If they make a mistake they start to shout to a paying customer. I made a humble complain since there was a big noise and shouting (that went on and on!!) coming from the room right above us at the evening and they just made me very clearly understand that i just disturb their facebook/mine sweeper/something else "very useful" they pretended to do all the time. Once they called me from reception about the check out since we were suppose to check out at 11 (and it was 11.05 o'clock at the time) to ask where were we. I started to explain that we had a tiny problem with the luggage still but they hung up on me. That was an insult. I also witnessed a fight between two reception workers and they did it loudly and publicly in front of everyone at the lobby. We all got a bit amused of how unprofessional that looked, sounded and they lost all the trust and authority in everyones eyes. Beach is close and all the restaurants so the location is great but other than that i would say the hotel is 1 or 2 stars. Food is average. Quality is average. And the quality and education of the employees are very poor. We got very angry few times on our holiday and as a paying customers we don't think that would be necessary. We honestly can't recommend this hotel - try something else!

Hotel sollte mit Meerblick gebucht werden - 5 Sterne Aussicht. Direkte Busverbindung vom Hotel in die Altstadt von Dubrovnik. Personal sehr freundlich. Sehr gutes 3 Sterne Hotel. Strand gut. Abends leider Kanalgeruch.

Man sollte sich unbedingt ein Zimmer mit Meerblick nehmen. Personal sehr freundlich. Strand Gut. Leider abends Kanalgeruch. Für ein 3 Sterne Hotel absolut zu empfehlen. Direkte Busverbindung vor dem Haus nach Dubrovnik.
