Due to the interior of the hotel and its fabulous location the hotel attracts a very stylish crowd to this excellent property. (TC 11.08) Modern sixties style building with white washed walls giving a mediterranean feel to the hotel. Excellent location, a short walking distance away from the old town with fabulous views overlooking the entrance of the harbour and the medieval town walls.

Gorgeous Setting

The Argentina overlooks the beautiful Dalmatian coast and looks down on the fascinating old walled city of Dubrovnik. Its ... beach, salt-water pool, otdoor terrace restaurant, and park-like, tree-shaded rest areas are invitations to stay forever! Because it is built against the side of a steep incline, getting around the entire complex requires negotiating several outdoor stairways which could be a problem for people whose mobility is limited; of course, there are elevators to get from the lobby to the guestrooms and other indoor facilities. Compared to another elegant hotel within the old town walls at which we stayed, the prices at the Argentina were exteremely reasonable (not inexpensive, but reasonable).
Traveler type: Couples
The hotel's amenities lend themselves to spending an enjoyable few days, but don't neglect a guided tour or at least a walkthrough of the (Stari grad - the old town.

Beautiful location for a beautiful hotel

The location is breath taking and the hotel keeps it promise of providing a wonderful experience. Our room was well ... appointed, attractive and comfortable. The over all hotel is extremely attractive with busy spots such as the swimming area and secluded ones in a delightful garden. Breakfast in the morning overlooking old town Dubrovnik is simply refreshing. A small but important feature is the spacious safe provided in the room. This is in contrast to other hotels where safes are an after thought and can be quite small. Definitely a delightful experience in a gorgeous setting.
Traveler type: Couples
Old town Dubrovnik is a short walk away. The return trip is an uphill climb but it's not a serious concern. The area sponsors many traditional ceremonies, mostly on weekends, so time your visit appropriately and work with the concierge staff to make the best use of your time.
