Looking To Move To Costa Rica
I chose this hotel because I wanted to stay some where nice while scouting out CR as a place to possibly retire in a few years. Well CR is not for me (too 3rd world) but the hotel and the staff were very nice. I felt at home the entire time. Just as a word of advice, if you go to CR during the rainy season, just know that mud runs into the ocean from the connecting rivers and the ocean water is muddy. Not a good site to see. Also, the sand is gray/brown in color but very fine and feels good under your feet.

There is a pizza (yes pizza) restanrant that is off the main street (down the street and down the road from Stakeys, maybe the name is El Bugio (or something). Anyway, its the best pizzia I think I have ever had. Don't eat the pizza next to the hotel. Not good.

Great Ladies' Trip
The staff at this hotel was so kind and respectful, we felt at home. Prior to arriving to our hotel, we stopped at a supermarket to pick up some snacks (as suggested by our cab driver). Since we were on a bit of a budget, we would eat the breakfast at the hotel (included with your stay) , munch on sandwiches mid day, then FEAST at the local restaurants at night. The breakfast was definitely filling. The rooms themselves were ordinary. The hotel is beachfront, and has amazing view. Close to night life. Great stay!

Incredable family vacation
This was the perfect place for us to go. My kids 19 and 20 and husband had a great time we would go back without hesatation. We wanted to surf and this was a great place to learn. We also went snorkeling, horsebackriding, and on a river ride to see the white face monkeys and the alagators. I would not recamend the snorkeling on a boat with divers it is too deep to see much more than shadows and the ocean is rough to be out so far. Off the beach would be better. The horseback riding was OK we went snorkeling in between rides and this was pretty OK. The hotel had beautiful grounds the staff was friendly and helpful. The food was delisious and we loved the patio by the beach. The room was spacious and looked out on the gardens and the ocean. Lovely view. The town was much larger than we thought and the restarants were great. The shops had a great deal of art , nice clothes and jewlrey. There was also the shops with sarongs t- shirts and shot glasses but it was a great mix. Things were not cheap they have caught up with USA pricing, but you got what you paid for. We all had a wonderful time.

Good Value
I did a lot of research before selecting this hotel. This was a good value for the area. I dare say, this is the best hotel in the area. Great security, good service with a friendly staff. Everything worked great in the room, especially the A/C. I have no complaints and would highly recommend this hotel.

Can't say enough good things about this hotel.
If you're going to stay here, get the room with a sunset view, you will be just steps from the beach sand and you won't regret paying the extra money. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The free breakfast buffet was a nice addition. After seeing all the other hotels and locations, I believe this one to be the best. Other reviews said it was noisy but thats because they went during peak spring break season (March, April). I went during the slow season (May) and it was quiet and empty, had all of Tamarindo to myself. If this is you're first trip to Costa Rica, I highly recommend staying here, they will help you plan everything out and make your stay easy and stress free.

Eat at El Pescador. They have the freshest and best tasting fish. Get the Casado with pescado (fish) fillet. It's the best bargain at around $8. The servers there are some of the nicest people I've ever met and the location is amazing.

Amazing Vacation
My Girlfriend and I stayed at the Diria and loved our stay there. The location was ideal, right on the beach with a great tropical pool with swim up bar. Right in the center of Tamarindo so everything was an easy walk away. The food was good and our room near the tropical room was very clean and updated. Amazing trip, wish I could have just stayed there for a long, long time.

first time in Tamarindo
The hotel's location was amazing and our experience was excellent however, the bathroom had some black mold and the shower was small with warm water being scarce. That said, you can't be the sunsets from your balcony or the lawn! We would go back!

FRIENDLY STAFF & PERFECT LOCATION
Smack dab in the heart of Tamarindo, which is where you want to be because taxis are expensive! Get ocean front view not Poolside. Great swim up bar & pool. Got everything you need at fingertips @ Hotel & really no need to leave - surfing lessons, massage on beach, jet skis & beautiful beaches. Hotel ambiance at night is fun, mellow - yet somewhat lively, but not overly loud. Was a good time, most especially since hotel was directly on the beach!

Bachelor Party
Everything worked out pretty well. We just used it as a place to sleep and not to party. The location on the beach is excellent. The staff at breakfast was terrible, dirty tables, had to ask for everything and they took forever...
