Barcelo Langosta Beach - All Inclusive

This is an excellent place to take a rest off the city. Rooms seemed not to be made for couples with babys.

This is an excellent place to take a rest, you don´t have to worry about anything and staff are very kind. But rooms not very comfotable for couples with babys.

The staff was wonderful. From the bellmen, waiters, the bartenders and the social committee all were friendly and so pleasant to speak with. The hotel was nicely groomed and had beautiful vegetation. The rooms were nice but we didn't stay in the room except to sleep. The nightly entertainment was wonderful. The only negative would be the food buffet, it was basically the same everynight.

Very nice staff, repair made quickly on my AC after earthquake, beach is small but there is a nice beack nearby that you can walk on all the way to Tamarindo. All the shops & restaurants are witin 25 min walking distance. It is at the end of the road but it's all inclusive. Food is good, coffee is great, only thing I didn't like was the buns [not freshly baked].

Beautiful resort with clean grounds and very friendly staff. We dont have much to complain about, we would go back.

I thought this hotel was appropriate for what i paid. We had to have our room changed though, because after the first night the smell of a damp basement didn't go away and my daughter had a hard time breathing. The grounds were beautiful and the staff were very accommodating. Food was fine, but nothing exceptional. Again, you get what you pay for. I MUST MENTION THAT WHILE I THOUGHT THE LOCATION OF THIS HOTEL WAS VERY GOOD, THE ROAD TO GET THERE WAS AWFUL. IF YOU ARE RENTING A CAR BE CAREFUL. YOU COULD EASILY DAMAGE IT!

Based on reviews from several sites, I expected good, not great, resort - which is fine because my wife and I are very laid back and make our own good time. We found it better than expected, it's not 5 star, but definitely give it 5 stars for a 3 star resort. The hotel is immaculately clean, the staff extremely friendly and helpful. Didn't expect much from the food based on reviews, but it was good enough. It actually got better each night (we stayed from 5/24 thru 5/28). i've also stayed in Mexico (Riu), Cuba (Blau), Bahamas (Breezes) and Jamaica (Breezes) over the last 2 years and the food was equal or better to those all-inclusives. The best food is at the grill, and the ice cream was amazingly delicious. The theater show was campy but a lot of fun to watch - staff does work hard. My wife had fun at the dancing lessons and pool while I played volleyball for hours with guests and staff at the beach in the afternoon. The house liquor is weak, but since it's all-inclusive you can spice it up as much as you want. But if you need premium (I'm a Hennessey & Patron man) they do offer it at only $5. The beach is just alright, as I expected from photos - it is much better during high tide. We spent the mornings at Tamarindo Beach anyway, so it was cool with us. My only disappointment was no howler monkeys on our side (front side) of the hotel, though I was told there were some on the back side where there is thicker plantation. I would definitely stay here again next trip to Tamarindo.

We had a good time overall. However, we were disappointed with the fact that only one restaurant-buffet style - was on site. There was one additional restaurant but we were told we would have to pay (25% off the bill). It turns out that if you stay on the property 7 days or more, you can have free dinner there. We also overpaid for transportation from Liberia airport to the hotel. It would be much cheaper to hire taxi at the airport and then hire taxi in Tamarindo going back. Overall, good vacation, food good, fruits great !!! Would recommend to a friend !

We had good ecperience staying at Barcelo. We were though disappointed to find out that there was only one place for all meals. However, meals were good and fruits were great !! We were disappointed that no one told us that at only one restaurant, if one stays at least 7 days, dinner is free. We thought we would only get 25% off. Overall,this was good vacation though may have been to pricey for the value.
