Front desk staff was either rude or incompetent
The front desk staff was either rude or incompetent. When I checked in, the staff at the front desk couldn't find my reservation, so I suggested that he asked his manager for help. He said "I am not stupid. Your reservation is the problem." Costa Rica Marriott Hotel San Jose in Heredia has better front desk staff, better buffet breakfast but the location isn't as good.

The "one day in Pozo Azul" with the options of 5 activities was great for those who like horseback riding, rafting, ziplining and rappelling. Britt's coffee planatation is great for a 2 hour trip if you have half-day to spare in the city. I can easily not exchange any local currency since the tourist attractions/supermarket etc all take credit card and price in USD. *** I would recommend this hotel to a friend who likes to be close to a shopping mall/supermarket. But if shopping mall/supermarket is not a priority, Marriott (not the Courtyard) has better service, amenities and service.

Lumpy bed
It has seen better days!
Staff was good hotel pretty clean Toilet did not flush shower did not empty The worst was the bed a big hill down the middle In general besides the lobby the room could use an upgrade....plumbing, tiles and better beds!!!!! Most uncomfortable bed I have ever slept in!

Location is about 15 minutes from San Jose, Costa rica's capital, and walking distance to a mall with everything you need including a pharmacy and grocery store. Tour are easy to arrange from the location and is about a $25 cab ride from the airport. Pools, gym and restaurants are top-notch, staff is friendly and ready to assist.

Great Hotel in the best area of San Jose
Very nice hotel with great amenities. Excellent location. Fantastic mall across the street. Very high end shops. Very friendly staff. Sometimes a little slow at the pool. Overall we would definitely stay there again.

Great!!!
Hotel is amazing but service is slow from restuarant, check-in, bar, concierge....Club tower is great but the breakfast is same everyday...they can spice it up and change it a bit...Happy hour from 6pm to 8pm is a good....great drinks!!! The hotel is located in escazu and walking distance to multiplaza mall and resturants....
