    Great Service!

The hotel was really good. We forgot to take off the "do not disturb" sign on our door during the day and asked at night for housekeeping and they had it done by the time we got back from dinner within an hour and half! The staff was really friendly... they actually greeted me by my name whenever I came down from the elevator.

Shopping tip: Short walk from hotel

Most items are priced comparable to the U.S. so we chose not to buy much in fear of a fake. But the dress shoes are cheap!

    Beautiful

Great hotel, beautiful room [suite], everyone was very pleasant. Was unaware that guests had to stay in the lobby. Guess it is a new policy. Would definitely take my family there.

Super comfortable and a great location

We only spent one night in San José, but were exceptionally comfortable at this hotel. Parts of San José aren't especially tourist friendly late at night, but this hotel was in a nice area, with the front entrance on a main walking street and the hotel had security on all sides. We weren't concerned, but needless to say felt very safe. The rooms were small with modern decor, and very clean. The beds were soft, and the included breakfast was tasty. We were pretty much in and out of San José, but there looked like there was a lot of shopping and things to see in the area. Overall I wouldn't hesitate to stay at this hotel again.

    4 nights in San Jose

You really get your money's worth: location is perfect, you can walk to all the popular tourist attractions and restaurants, the staff is courteous, professional and English speaking, the rooms are clean and spacious, the breakfast buffet is very good and if you don't like any of the selections on the line you can order an omelet or pancakes at no extra charge, you can arrange tours and travel from the front desk, security is very good, there is always a security guard at the entrance. They also have cable TV which has some of the Miami stations. It was just a 4 day getaway for my wife and me and we both really enjoyed our stay there. We give this hotel a two thumbs up.

Recommended for a night in San Jose

This was a great choice for our last night, giving us a chance to explore the city a bit. The staff were all very nice: good bartenders/baristas. The breakfast and coffee was the best we had in CR. It will be perfect when they open the full-service restaurant, as currently the bar/lounge/dining area is shared with the lobby.

Awesome first night in Costa Rica

Was upgraded to a King junior suite with jacuuzzi in the bathroom for no charge! Free fresh fruit sangria during happy hour and it was unlimited for me, (likely not during high season). Free wi-fi in the lobby, did not reach to our room on 5th floor so heads up. Hotel is very modern and udated, area is very walkable but use big city common sense after night (no women alone, leave purse in room if you can) and keep jewelry, passports, cash etc to a mimimum and always in the front pocket. Free breakfast is awesome, fresh fruit, made to order eggs, cereal, yogurt, juice, the works. I thought the property was a great value solid 4 stars.

    Clean, comfortable, great service.

The hotel has a great open lobby with great breezes blowing through. The staff is on top of things but at the same time they give you your privacy. There is no chance of any one coming into the hotel unauthorized. There is security at every door. It is located in a safe area of town with lots of shopping close by. It is not kids friendly. Most guests were business men and adult tourists. The rooms are clean and simple. The beds are comfortable. The showers have great water pressure and the water is soft and good to drink. The cafe and bar are open air and have seating overlooking the most poular street. Great people watching and very poular in the afternoon and evening. Breakfast is included and very good. I recommend it highly.
