Great Prices, Great Location, great Service
I stayed here two days and they treated us very well. They had a breakfast buffet that was rico!! We actually had three parot birds land outside our window ledge. I will stay here again!!

Perfect Location
It is located in the heart of San Jose. Everything is a walking distance and a quite area. It is easy to access to tour bus which is going to other travel area. Near the hotel, the morazo park is so beautiful. The staff are so friendly and helpful to get a local information.

Great hotel at a perfect location with perfect price
Holiday Inn Aurola was a great find in downtown San Jose. The staff was always friendly and helpful. The room was clean and pleasant. The hotel amenities were also a big plus. The hotel is located at walking distance to most attractions in downtown San Jose.

The restaurant on the bottom floor was great. Everyday they serve a buffet lunch with typical Costa Rican foods, plus coffee, juices and dessert for only $10.00 per person. Can't beat that!!!

Great for downtown
Staff is wonderful - helpful and friendly. Beautiful entry and views from room. Restaurants were disappointing. 20 minutes and $30 taxi ride from airport so not worth overnight stay unless you have time to enjoy city.

Good hotel for the value
Wonderful hotel due to it's city center location. It felt so lively and was withing walking distance to all the major landmarks so no need to waste money on a city tour. It's Tropicana restaurant also offers some tasty low priced food that doesn't taste like hotel food.

The ariel tram through the rainforest is a waste of money. It's so slow and boring and you don't see anything except trees, no animals or pretty birds. Save the $90 for a better excursion

Great time!
Room service and valet was awesome. Reception was ok. I loved my view. I was on the 4th floor with a views of the park across the street. Excellent hotel. The best in San Jose personally. Thanks orbiz for making this trip possible.

Do not stay here if you intend to entertain friends
Hotel was OK except for the staff at the reception; they lack courtesy! Especially the guy that worked the reception at late nights from Jan 26, 2012 to Jan 31, 2012.

2nd Time was even better
Room 601, corner room with a view of Parque Morazan. My 2nd time at this hotel because I really like the location and the free breakfast is a buffet with a great selection. The deal was able to get with that "O" travel site was the best one out there and even better then the first time I was there in Feb 2011. The bed is super comfy and room service at 11pm was quick and I got a caprese salald (OMG YUM!), chicken fingers with fries and a ginger ale for less than nineteen dollars. I thought that was prettty cheap for room service. Overall great place to stay. I will definately stay here again when I am spending my layover day in San Jose before my flight!

this is the best location for any first time visitors in San Jose Costa Rica. museums, stores, restaurants are only walking distance. day trips are also the best from this hotel. highly recommended.
