The little queenie
Great location for airport
Pro's: The hotel is so close to the airport which was great for an early morning departure. The shuttle was also great and was there within 2 minutes of a call from the front desk. They have a nice breakfast bag you can take to go and a very friendly, helpful front desk!! Cons: The pool seems like a nice area and we were hoping to take a swim but the pump was off and the pool was very dirty so we decided against that. Also, the A/C made a terrible racket which kept me up all night long.

Hardest Bed Ever - wood planks or perhaps tiles?
We purchased a bed a few years ago based on a Holiday Inn Express (HIE) experience in Cheyenne, WY. Since \then, my husband and I have stayed at numerous HIE and been very satisfied. However, never in my life have I felt anything that made my packbackers Thermarest on the hard ground seem plush in comparison. Alas. All else was fine. Perfect location for early departures.

Good overnight for travelers
Drove there to stay 1 night before our flight home. Access is right off of a main road (CR-1) but intersection is difficult to navigate (later, I watched what a shuttle did and I never would have tried it myself). Staff was great and room was comfy and clean. Air cond. was rather noisy and we did not get a chance to even see the pool (early flight next a.m.). The airport shuttle was free (other CR hotels charge for it) and leaves every 10 minutes. No restaurant inside the hotel but Denny's and a reasonable chicken fast-food place are within a short walk. I definitely recommend this hotel for travelers needing to stay near the airport for a night.

Last Day in Costa Rica
Its a great place to stay on your last day because its across from SJO airport and they have free airport shuttle every 15 minutes 24hrs a day. They also have excellent continental breakfast, (bacon, eggs, etc.) As far as price it was somewhat on the expensive side for a Holiday Inn, but that is Costa Rica for you EXPENSIVE!! Overall it was clean but most importantly convenient , Oh and international calls are free to the U.S but not local.

The hotel is very nice and offers a great breakfast and excellent staff. Very friendly and helpful. There are two restaurants to walk to right next door, but the Dennys is very expensive. Hotel shuttle was great. a very good hotel to stay at. Try to get a room on the other side of the hotel from the road as we heard a bit of truck noise during the night.

Good Inn Every Way
Simply an overnight stay before exploring the next day. Very friendly and helpful staff. Modern, clean room with promised amenities; good cable selection in English and wi-fi and lan internet connection (free). Pleasant surprise free calls to the states! Breakfast bar not much but could get you started. Don't plan on it holding you for long......
