Situated on a mountainside overlooking the Pacific Ocean, rain-forest canopy and Manuel Antonio National Park, the Inn provides fabulous 360 degree views from its rooftop "Sky Lounge", yet is just minutes away from pristine beaches, sport fishing at Quepos harbor, and the local airport.

Originally built as a private residence in 2000, the I.C.T. awarded three-star suites and rooms are anything but "standard". The luxurious West Wing was opened in 2006 and extra Penthouse Suites were added to the East Wing in 2009. Situated in the heart of the Inn is a genuine bat cave bar, unique to Costa Rica - a must see for guests! All rooms are air-conditioned and have bathrooms, a dresser, television, and an in-room telephone system. Private outside sitting areas are accessible through sliding glass doors from every room, which open to ,incredible views of the Pacific Ocean and surrounding jungle. During your unforgettable stay, you may see an incredible variety of animals: monkeys, sloths, anteaters, large iguanas and "pizotes" and more than 200 species of birds! The hotel is of elegant Mediterranean design and was constructed by a team of Swiss architects and decorated by Italian interior designers. The interior displays a wealth of original paintings by some of Costa Rica's top artists.

An Eco-friendly project, water at the Inn is heated by solar energy. The Inn also has its own restaurant for fine dining, including other intimate areas for dining and relaxing. These include a patio with barbecue, an infinity swimming pool with Jacuzzi, and the Sky Lounge, which is open 24/7. Your host, Harry Bodaan (former co-owner of the nearby five-star El Parador hotel), has personally attended to hundreds of distinguished guests and celebrities such as Vanessa Williams, Elizabeth Taylor, Stephen Stills, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Ricky Schroder, Robert Redford, Don Johnson, Chuck Norris and Kevin Costner just to name a few! The hotel is confident that staffs can satisfy your needs as well. One can never have to many amenities while vacationing in one of Costa Rica's premier Resorts.

All the tropical essence and modern pleasures are here in your private oasis; high speed internet, cable, king size comfort, balcony/terrace view, AC and satellite TV await. A wonderful balance between the heavenly wonder of the rain-forest, crystal clear beach front views and the earthly comforts of your own room; mini bar, full bath and toiletries make you feel safe, serene and uniquely special as soon as you enter the sacred space of this Natural Rain-forest Resort.

Dining

The Jacques Cousteau Restaurant
When the La Mansion Inn opened ten years ago, Wesley Leder-Bodaan joined his uncle Harry Bodaan, with the Opening Festivities of the Hotel. Now he and his brother have returned to Costa Rica to take the helm of the food and beverage facilities. Wesley finished his Culinary Education in the Netherlands and worked in several first class hotels in Europe in order to prepare himself for the biggest challenge of his life, uncle Harry Bodaan, owner of the La Mansion Inn and former President of the International Press Center and Club, Moscow and long-time General Manager of the National Press Club in Washington D.C. While new and multi-lingual Chef Wesley will not be offering anything quite that adventurous to these exotic items he has promised spectacular new culinary presentations of local foods mixed with a touch of European flair, while closely watched by his famous uncle to continuing the family tradition of first-class services and Gourmet taste.

Nice place in beautiful Manuel Antonio

We had a beautiful view of the ocean from our room. Breakfast was included and was good, though not great, and we had an even greater view for breakfast. The room was nice although the tub was not level, and did not fully drain after using it. the pool was nice. The bar was small and very humid.

Sightseeing tip: Short walk from hotel

Ask the directions to Biesanz beach. It is a short walk to a quite beach (much nicer than the busy dirty Manuel Antonio beach). There are often monkeys there. You can rent kayaks ($15) or snorkeling gear ($10) and easily swim out to a good snorkel place. We saw boat trips that cost $70 that just brought you to this spot.
