- Villas are duplex style units with two separate bedrooms joined by a common wall. Each room offers two double beds with air conditioning, balcony / terrace, bathroom amenities, cable / satellite TV, color TV, disabled facilities, en suite / private bathroom, iron / ironing board, hairdryer, laundry service, mini bar, non-smoking rooms, refrigerator, room service, safe in room, tea and coffee making facilities and telephone.
Each room is tastefully decorated with original furniture made by local craft men, every room has garden views. - Bungalow Superior - King
- The Bungalow Superior - King offers one king bed with beds with air conditioning, balcony / terrace, bathroom amenities, cable / satellite TV, color TV, disabled facilities, en suite / private bathroom, iron / ironing board, hairdryer, laundry service, mini bar, non-smoking rooms, refrigerator, room service, safe in room, tea and coffee making facilities and telephone.
Free standing building like the Bungalow, with upscale furnishings. There are three with one king size sleigh bed .
The room also offers individual coffee maker, hot water, hair dryer and bathroom amenities along with bath robes and slippers. - Junior Suite
- The Jr. Suite is a single standing house, with separate living and bedroom areas and outdoor terrace with panoramic Pacific Ocean views.
Living area includes: pullout sofa, ceiling fan, air conditioning, ceiling fan, bar, satellite tv, telephone, minibar and coffee maker.
Bedroom has king size bed, ceiling fan, air conditioning, ceiling fan and sliding privacy doors.

- Located at the foothills of the Rincon de la Vieja volcano in Guanacaste. 32 kms, NE from Liberia close to the town of Canas Dulces. 12 kms N from the traffic lights in Liberia to the entrance to Canas Dulces, turn right and follow the road for 18 kms to the intersection, turn left and go 3 kms to the hotel.

Beautiful rooms but service lacks some attention
The hotel has very beautiful bungalow rooms. The service however lacks some attention. All in all however, it is a nice place to stay.

Overall Positive
While I enjoyed my stay here I wouldn't go back. The positive points were the spa facilities. The mud and the natural steam and sauna we're really cool- a once in a lifetime experience. The rooms were also nice and I thought the food was decent - the breakfast was delicious. The only thing I didn't like about it is that the hotel itself is not Costa Rican. It's owned by a Cuban and the name Borinquen means a woman from Puerto Rico. The hotel decor feels as out of place as the name. The grounds, while pretty are incredibly manicured - it really feels like a golf course which is a shame given the natural beauty of the region.

AMAZING GEM
I booked this hotel on a whim, thinking it was close to the Liberia airport. It is fairly close, but not as close as i thought considering the poor road conditions. The hotel was gorgeous on a gorgeous mountainside and the rooms were all private, and beautiful, and modern, and comfortable. The grounds were amazing, with hot springs and complimentary mud to put on your body. Amazing pool and restaurant as well. I would highly recommend this resort. It is top notch!

Good Times!
The Borinquen is an AMAZING resort!!!!! The staff who work there attend to your every need and go out of their way to make sure your experience is unforgettable. By far the BEST staff at any resort I've ever been to. The views from the rooms are great and you will get to see the most amazing sunsets every night. The pool and spa amenities were awesome as well. I can't say enough great things about this place, it was worth every penny and I will recommend this resort to EVERYONE! Great place to relax and recoup!

Natural Perfection/ Mother Nature Paradise
Amazing Natural Beauty! Not much to do when raining all day! Zip Line is ultra Cool. Restaurant breakfast wonderful but dinner selections need improvement, especially desert options. Steam Room and hot spas very nice! Staff very nice and friendly.

Short walk from hotel
Take the nature walk and enjoy the beauty of mother nature. A great oppurtunity to connect with God's creations. The trees are amazing to look at and enjoy. Butterflies everywhere. Reconnect with your inner self and reflect on where you are and where your going in LIFE!

demander de préférence une suite qui se trouve au sommet de la colline pour une vue magnifique. Endroit tranquille, calme et reposant. Le SPA est à faire. Le service est agréable, le personnel tres attentionné. le restaurant pourrait gagner un peu plus en qualité mais les prix restent corrects. Voiture obligatoire.
