location close to a disco or bar which means it was extremely loud all night until at least 3am Ther room was OK but there was a bad smell, the linnens were not large enough for the beds, not enough towels, breakfast was real lousy (rice, beans, eggs but no bacon or saussages, no butter only margarine etc. - would not return there

Always on the move
a night in Liberia
I needed an inexpensive room for a night in Liberia in the town and easy distance from the airport. Best Western El Sitio was perfect - a $20 cab ride from the airport, a spacious and breezy room and a sustaining breakfast. Very adequate.

Friday night disco until 4AM
I only needed to stay one night in order to catch an 8AM flight from LIR to MIA. unfortunately, I got no sleep at this ugliest of Best Westerns because the property hosts a Friday night disco that doesn't shut down until 4AM - thump, thump, thump! - which explains why they put me in a room farthest away from the "amenities". never got the wake-up call I requested. there was no hot shower at 5:30AM?! at least, the A/C and ceiling fan worked

Pretty Horrible....Try El Punto
The AC didn't work, the hallway and our room was soaking with water. People were not quick to help and instead we got no service. They didn't have our reservation which caused an hour wait in the lobby. The bar was nice. The casino was closed and boarded up. We moved to El Punto at Casa Verde (can be found on a hostel website) which was beautiful, about a 100 yards away, and they were very helpful.

Liberia Feeling
Hotel is fine for catching a bus or flight from Liberia out. Liberia is not that exciting city so just 1 night is fine. Don't expect Best Western that you see in US or Europe. But room is ok and pool is nice.

There are Cinnabon, Burger King, McDonalds etc. joints just next door. If you do internet search the best pizza place is (just 1 mile walk or) 1 dollar ride with taxi.
