The Hotel is surrounded of lush gardens and a spectacular view of the Volcano. Special for ecoturism, culture and adventure lovers. They offer you access to main service and attractions as souvenirs stores, drugstores, ATM machine, bar and restaurant, waterfalls, hanging bridges, etc. The perfect combination of peace with nature and service close to that would give you a pleasure vacations.
The excellent combination of fine, indigenous woods in each of cabanas, for example pine, oak, almond tree, laurel and tamarind tree, among others. The luscious gardens combined with the beauty of the scenic Arenal volcano will make your stay unforgettable at property. These charming rooms have an exterior terrace from which you can view birds, butterflies that flutter amongst the flowers and plant life in the hotel gardens. You can read your favorite book or simply breathe in the tranquility that you feel at this hotel.
Arenal Montechiari rooms have two double beds, air conditioning, hot water, cable television, a mini-fridge and coffee maker. Basic rooms – very good and friendly staff
Owner Daisy and her family run the property management, very friendly people and extremely helpful in advising and guiding us all thru our stay. The property has a very good view of the Volcano and convenient to town. The garden and the pool are maintained very well and reflect the tropical feel of Costa Rica and Arenal area very well. The room was very basic, no telephone or internet in the room, basic amenities and bathroom accessories. Could hear the rain, water, bugs and outside noise all night. Wireless was available in the office area only. Access to the property was thru an unpaved road. Breakfast was served hot eggs, pancakes, fruit slices and beans/rice with juice and coffee. Towels smelled like toasted bread and stale.

Short drive from hotel
We used the Los Lagos hotsprings most used by locals for a fraction of the price charged by the big spring establishments just for the quick hot spring experience.

Beautiful grounds, great location
Although a bit hard to find in the dark, the morning light revealed beautiful grounds surrounding cabana style rooms. The staff was perfect and helpful, especially when we had some trouble with some travel arrangements. The hotel has recently changed hands so there is some construction on the grounds but not interfering. The only problem was that the hot water was solar powered and when we were there it had been overcast for several days, so no sun meant no hot water. Overall though, very comfortable for the price.
