RIU Guanacaste - All Inclusive

Riu Guanacaste deseves the 4 star rating. The hotel was attractive and well maintained. The food at the buffet and pool restaurants was always very good.There was such a great variety of food even a picky eater will find sometime they like. The fruit was outstanding,it was alway served at the peak of freshness. The beach was very relaxing but it is a dark sand . It takes a little getting use to but the water is clear. The pool was very nice and well maintained. The afternoon activities at the pool get pretty loud. So if your looking for a quite place ,go to the beach. The hotel get very busy Friday afternoon and Saturday,so I would recommend an excursion for those days. I highly recommend Memo's Tours. He picked us up at the airport and took care care us like we were old friends. He is fluent in English and has a nice 15 passanger van. His tours are tailored to your wishes.When you tour with Memo it's only people in your group and Memo.He responds very quickly to any e-mail request. The water taxi to Coco beach was nice ,just for the ride in the boat ride for$15 pp. Also snorkling to Rocky Pointe for $25pp was good. However one final warning. Put your valuables in the safe .I had my phone stolen from my room during the day while charging. The hotel does provide a free safe in your room.P.S. The weather was perfect everyday during our stay in December.

This trip was fantastic. I went there for 8 days for my honeymoon. The food does get a little boring after awhile and there is no tomato sauce for anything italian or pizza. There are enuogh options to get you through the day. The beach was great, it is large enough so it doesnt get too crowded. The pool area was a little crowded, I did not use the swim up pool bar. The location is great because there are trails to hike off the resort where you can see birds, monkeys, and butterflies. I'd find a group to go with so your not alone. I was so sad to leave and be back cold weather at home.

We LOVE LOVE this place. All of the staff were very kindly and helpful. We thought the room was clean and comfy. The pools very nice and clean. The restaurants was great tast. but, restaurants resavetion was `ONLY NEXT DAY DINNER` If you wants go any restaurants that you will need go to restaurants resavation centur every morrning.

I very much enjoyed this stay although it was too short. I ended up losing a full days stay due to a certain flight situation, with no fault of your own, but still had to pay so a bit frustrating. The hotel was gorgous,. The staff was great and the food was worth the trip. I would return to this establishment if the opportunity knocked.

The hotel is surrounded by forest and seems like such an undisturbed setting. All hotel staff is super friendly. Drinks were great at all the bars. Food was very good (especially considering its an all inclusive and they are feeding a LOT of people). Would certainly go to another RIU.

Beautiful nice place, the green nature breath taking away views, recommended to all my friends! Riu chains is the best at all locations but guanacaste is something else. Food was delicious , staff excellent, friendly. Will definatly go again different season.

I love the hotel and the staff. The staff members were very friendly. I love the food. The room was very clean and the location was perfect. I saw several monkeys from room's balcony. will definitely go back.

We had such a good time staying in RIU awesome location. You can go anywhere. I loved the friendly staff very helpful. We had problems with opening our door for some reason it was not opening went down to the front desk and got someone to fix it right away. I will recommend this hotel.
