This was a very nice hotel with a great location in Monteverde, close proximity to Santa Elana. The walls are very thin in the hotel, meaning you can hear everything that others in your hallway are doing. Included breakfast was great, and staff

Short walk from hotel
Visit local eateries in Santa Elana (walking distance). Sabor Tico was our favorite- an entire dinner with drinks and desert for $20!
It's a long bumpy ride to Santa Elena from anywhere, but it's such a unique and beautiful area that it is worth the trip. Staff is friendly and helpful, the hotel grounds are lovely, and the weather is... the weather. You're so high up that there
is a constant breeze (which did wake us up a few times during the night).
upon arrival, my family and I received a warm welcome. the hotel was clean and friendly. The rooms were huge and most importantly, very clean. The hotel provides shuttles to get to other parts of the hotel since its very spread out. I would
definitely recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Monteverde, but not the restaurant. The breakfast was good, but the dinning experience was not the best. Overly priced and a long wait time. It is about a 10-15 minute walk to the city of Santa Elena so you could easily walk. There's not a lot to do in Monteverde so 2 days is just enough. While there, I visited the cloud forest, which was simply amazing. It can get a bit chilly in Monteverde so I could recommend bringing pants and a heavy sweater. A great experience overall!

Cloud Forest is simply amazing. I paid for a tour guide, however it is not necessary. Although expensive, I would recommend getting a tour guide because it would be pointless to walk the forest and not know what animals or species your passing by.
