Hotel Dann, Medellin Colombia
The stay was very nice, and comfortable, the staff very professional and helpful, my only negative comment is, that the internet connections costs US $ 8.00 per day, and the bandwidth has to be improved, as around 17:00 to 19:00 conversations via Skype or downloads from the cloud are very slow.

Top notch. Never having traveled to South America, I surely had my doubts. But the Dann-Carlton and all of Medellin were a true joy. I loved the breakfast each morning, great way to start the day. The swimming area and work out area were very nice. Great atomosphere with many pleasures.

Short drive from hotel
Avoid the malls, two to three times the price. If you are looking for Medellin / Colombia goods, a short taxi to the city and you will save tons.

Loved Columbia
Generally the hotel is lovely. There are however some gaping holes. Internet in rooms was very expensive. They also charged for use in public areas and then they advertised it was free in public areas. After I was charged I discovered it was free. The rooms were very nice but the beds are very hard. The rooms seemed to be cleaned well except they did not vaccum. Things remained on the floor for the whole week, Very little English is spoken which made it difficult. Location is fantastic. Close to zona rosa. The dining in the hotel was all closed except the buffet for breakfast.
