Perfect for a economical vacation
Extra friendly and helpful. Tours not out of line with other tour companys. Breakfast, basic but good. Have a big dinner for noon meal. Included supper is light but good. Staff is the best! From the workers to cleaning people, to cooks to anyone you come in contact with. Thank Edwardo, Maria, Christina and all the staff. You all made our first trip to your beautiful countrry a pleasure.We just wish we spoke Spanish because we found very few english speaking people.

Short drive from hotel
Take the bus from the hotel to the walled city. You can take the bus anywhere for 1500 pesos each. It is safe and quick.

New Year's Eve Vacation
Staff was very courteous and helpful. The location was very good. Quiet and safe. The room had no safe, You had to use the hotel's safe. The room was kept very clean. King size bed very comfortable. The bathroom's shower was very old - water pressure on the 4th floor room was low to strong - it varied as you were taking a shower. We found out that hot water was on only after 9:30pm. No matter how many times we requested it earlier in the day. The buffet in the morning was fine. Skip the evening buffet unless you are running short in cash.

There is a restaurant around the corner facing the lake which has great food - no dessert. There is also another restaurant facing the beach - 2 - story. Great seafood! Highly recommended. They have dessert.

well the rooms were kind of smellling and the air conditioner were making a loud noise but the manager was kind enough to switch me to another room and the air conditioner was much better but still kind of smelly. the hotel i think its in a good location walk to the beach and also walk to shopping area.in good area too.

Cartagena Weekend
To see soccer match. Good breakfast. Nice refreshments at night included in the price. Internet free. Good location. The vendors outside the hotel are anoying. Do not be afraid to say NO, THANK YOU.

excellent for the price
Nice breakfast,close to the beach, excellent staff, very kind and helpfull, 5 minutes by walking from main avenue, 5 minutes by cab from downtown, big room. It would have been nice if the hotel would have had room service and lunch or dinner. However they have a snack instead dinner. For the price it is a very nice, clean hotel. My wife had a medical problem but the hotel has medical insurance for the pax and the sent us an ambulance and a doctor who solve the problem. Thanks!!! Next time we travel to Cartagena we will book the same hotel

The "chiva rumbera", the day travel to the city, visit Del Rosario Island and its sea aquarium. Do not buy the tour in the hotel, they are much more expensive.

very disapointed
I've stayed here 7 days, and have yet to get a hot shower. I keep getting told it will be fixed, but that didn't happen. There's a large gap under the entry door which the mosquitoes swarm through. The location is noisy day and night. I've stayed at other Estelar hotels and this one is not in the same league. I'd rate it one and and half stars. I must say the staff was pleasant,and I feel sorry they have to take such grief from the patrons over the condition of the facility.

Reasonable, clean and staff very nice.
The hotel is in a very good location. Taxi are available at all times. The staff was friendly and more of all it was clean and comfortable.
