Capilla Del Mar Global Hotel

This is a very nice hotel, and not too expensive. I stayed in a 2 bedroom suite with a lving area and kitchenette. There were 2 bathrooms with showers in each. Flat screen TVs in each room. There is a nice, but small pool area with a bar on top of the hotel. The view is good from up there! The bar on the 21st floor was closed on the night we went to check it out. The hotel also has an open air restaurant that faces the beach. Great location, right across the street from the beach, where you can walk the entire coastline of Boca Grande. Plenty of beach shops, clothing shops, convenient stores, and places to eat within walking distance. There is a pretty good night club (I forget the name) just a block away on the corner of the main strip, just across from the new Hampton that is being built. A cab ride to Old Town is only 7,000 pesos.

Our overall experience was pleasant. The breakfast is quite diverse and fulfilling, the maids make sure the rooms are meticulous, and the hotel staff is pretty helpful in suggesting different sights to visits, even though there is some language barrier. The location of the hotel is perfect in the sense that it's right in the middle of Boca Grande and two steps away from the beach. Only downside is that there is construction going on right next door, but this area is still up and coming so you would be affected by construction regardless of which hotel you end up staying at.

Quiet, comfortable, good sheets and bed, good wifi, right on beach. Only negative was bait and switch. On arrival we were offered a better room for extra money. Upon seeing both the only significant difference was that the more expensive one had air-conditioning that actually cooled while the cheaper one just oozed out insufficient air to cool room. A/C is essential in hot Cartagena so we paid the extra price.

The hotel is clean and modern. The staff is professional and helpful. The location is fine. I ask for no more.

The staff was really nice and the rooms and hotel where very modern. The room was clean and the staff was always willing to help. Capilla del Mar is a great hotel and also offers a great price.

My girlfriend now fiance lives in Cartagena. We had a beautiful stay at this hotel. We were engaged and we had her family there for her daughters birthday party at the pool and a dinner after to celebrate the occasion. The staff was fantastic and made us feel very special. The rates are very reasonable and I would highly recommend this hotel. The beach view is fantastic, and the restaurants are very good and reasonable.. And the buffet breakfast was excellent. Do yourself a favor and try this place.

Very nice hotel, on the beach and at the mean time close to the shopping area of Bocagrande and 10 minutes from the historic center of Cartagena. Very large rooms, with nice sea vieuw. Only one regret...As we have been told by the staff, all standard rooms have 2 standard size beds. You have to book a junior suite to get a queen or king bed.
