Great Hotel
While there are better locations in Bogota, Lancaster is still well located. It's in a nice quieter part of town, and very close to the transmilenio (public transit and best way to get around Bogota). The hotel staff were all very nice and the breakfast is good. Only complaint is that the bed is kinda hard, but that's not a deal killer. I would definitely consider staying here again.

comfortable room and excellent service
the 2 bedroom suite had plenty of space for 4 people and flat screen tv in both bedroooms. the showers were very modern and had excellent water pressure and immediate hot water. the food in the gatsby restaurant was very good and there were very cozy public areas where you could sit by the fireplace, enjoy a drink, or watch tv. the best thing about lancaster house is the staff. they are exceptionally responsive and polite. they were very helpful with arranging tours and transportation to the airport, and many spoke english. the hotel is in a classier part of bogota, but not near any attractions.

Great Stay
I was impresed by the size of the rooms. I knew they were suites, but wasn't expecting the size and comfort. The staff was also very helpful. Getting around the city was easy from the hotel.

An ordinary hotel in an extraordinary city
This is an ordinary hotel in an extraordinary city. We chose this hotel simply because of the positive reviews we read about this property. The hotel is quite simple and very ordinary. I would definitely look for an alternative on a next trip to Bogota.

Excellent choice
I stayed at Lancaster House and consider it an excellent choice. It is well situated in the city. The suite amazed me by it's size. It was nicely decorated, bright and clean. Also, it was good to have a comfortable space to work and relax, specially since it was separete from the bedroom. I thought I would use the kitchen in the suite for a snack at night, but there was no need, there is room service 24 hours. The people who work there are polite and friendly. I will go back.

Glad to have gone back there
I had been at the Lancaster a few years ago and opted to try it again this time. I am very glad I did. The staff remains very cordial and friendly, but the surprise came with the upgrade to just about everything. The suites were renovated, nicely furnished and decorated, the lobby looked classy, and the restaurant was very cool. I was happily surprised with the variety of dishes. It shows that they are keeping it in good taste and optimum quality. I will go back to this hotel if I go back to Bogota.

Older but well maintained
The rooms are actually small suites with a kitchen area. They are clean and well maintained. But the hotel overall feels old, like it is from the sixties, the building is older , the furniture is nice and clean but very outdated, overall I just did not like the feel of the hotel eventhough it is not a bad value, The room i had also was very noisy from outside traffic. Probably would not stay again. At checkout you have to be carefull as I booked and paid my hotel in advance but as some hotels do in Bogota they play with the exchange rate and do not credit enough to the amount you pay so you end up owing eventhough you paid in full through the internet. I consumed a small grape drink and a small bag of peanuts from the minibar and it was 10 dollars.
