Good basic hotel

I stayed for 2 nights at this hotel in April 2012 because it was a convinient location for the rounds I had to make. The hotel and rooms look fairly new. Rooms are small, but very clean and comfortable with a small flat panel TV and desk. Room door was incredible difficult to close for some reason. Shower water pressure was mixed. Sometimes barely any water came out. Breakfast was not good, but it was included. Be careful with front desk as they do try to cheat you. I did have to pay some charges when I checked out, but I was overcharged 'a little bit' and the front desk clerk did not give me a receipt, even after I asked, which is very unusual for a hotel. Also, the front desk clerk tries to confuse you by asking you if you have change. I let it go since it was the equivalent of US$5. Area seems safe enough during the day, but be careful at night. I would only recomend it if you want a no-frills stay.

Very comfortable sleep after long day

Staff very helpful and polite...rooms clean and comfortable. Location was central easy to get to north or south of city with Transmelino very close by. Just off main ave Septima but area was quite. Hardly any traffic noise at all. Nice relaxed ambience during the breakfast time. I never had lunch or dinner there. Shopping area 5 minute walk..transportation 5 minute walk. Staff had answers to any directions and if they did not know they would find information and solution to problem very quickly.

use the transmileno transportation system to get around in Bogota. Very quick fairly easy to understand B1 north and F1 south. I and you have the length of Bogota covered. Inexpensive less then a dollar a trip. And does not get stopped up due to traffic jams.
