The SmartSuites Royal Hotel is the best located hotel in Barranquilla, at the exclusive Alto Prado neighbor. It is on the 80th street and its proximity to the best restaurants, bars, malls and well-known private hospitals of the city make it a wonderful place to stay for business or pleasure. This modern hotel has a terrace with a great view of the city, and swimming pool, Jacuzzi, gym, massage and game room. It counts with the best technology on its 4 kind of rooms, 3 meeting rooms and 3 event rooms. Its Bocas de Ceniza restaurant and the Puerto Colombia bar have a nice and Caribbean environment to enjoy. The hotel also offers reception and express check in. Note: All citizens of Colombia will be charged the 10% national value-added tax. Hotel Insurance per night, per person: USD 4 to be collected by hotel at check out.

New Hotel Is Trying

I travel to Barranquilla often. I was attracted to SmartSuites because of a price offered by Orbitz. The hotel looks like other hotels of similar ratings. The room had a queen bed instead of a king like most of its competitors. Breakfast was nothing special...reminded me of a Comfort Inn or Hampton Inn breakfast. Other similar hotels in Barranquilla offered made to order omlettes. Gave me only one little bottle of shampoo and one bar of soap. I asked for more at front desk including more towels. I was there for 5 days on one bottle of shampoo and 1 bar of hotel soap. I ended up going to the store and buying soap and shampoo. It would have been nice for the front desk to take an interest.
