Citadines Central Xi'an

I spent 2 days at this hotel. I booked an apartment. It was spacious, comfortable and clean. It was definitely on par or better than most Western hotels I have stayed at at a very good price. It was quiet at night, within walking distance to the Bell Tower. The airport shuttle is stationed only 2 blocks away! The wireless internet worked perfectly The staff was friendly and helpful. The next time I stay in Xi'an, I will stay here without hesitation.

Staff polite. Service excellent. Clean and comfortable double bed room. Kitchen facility adequate. A good buy. Will try it next time too.

Perfect location for a turist stop-over: the bus from the airport leaves you few meters away and just in front of main city attractions

It is quite centrally located, easy walk to the Drum and Bell towers, the Muslim street and grand mosque, south gate. Staff friendly. This is an apartment hotel. So you get a studio apartment. Clean

The hotel is simply wonderful and situated in a superb location.. We like the room, friendly staff especially Eric Li & Tony Li. Except one complaint is the noise from some kind of generator above our room as my room is at the upper 11th floor.. the noise kept us await for a while but we got used to it after the 2 nights.. Overall, the hotel gives us a pleasant and memorable stay.. One side note:- the sightseeing tour operator recommended by the hotel is not so up to expectation and professional. The cheap and sub-standard van that we got to travel in for 2 hours straight is very tiring and unpleasant. I hope the hotel will look into their recommendation list and advise guests accordingly as some guests do not mind to pay a premium for comfort.. keep in up Citadines

I would recommend this facility for anyone who wants to stay in the centre of Xian. The only problem is transportation to and from the airport.

We wanted to see the Terracotta soldiers. We asked for the going rate at the hotel lobby, and they gave us a minivan quote. We told them we would get our own cheaper cab. They told us they would meet the cab fare rate with a sedan. The next morning, we got a lovely new minivan for the same price as a small cab. We also ate breakfast, cheap, and delicious, with fresh fruit, coffee, congee, noodles, eggs, toast, meats, as well as noodles and wonton cooked to order. The lobby staff also recommended some great restaurants. We were able to wander through town, see everything there was to see, and take an easy cab ride back to the hotel when done. The rooms were very moderm and clean. We stayed in 5 hotels in China, ranging from 10 days in a Marriott in BJ to a 2 BD suite hotel in Shanghai for 5 nights, and this was the hotel we liked the best!

Front desk were very helpful and English skills ranged from functional to very good. Loved having our own kitchen for breakfasts in the room - free coffee, tea, and water provided. Laundry facility was a great help, but only 2 of the 3 washers were functioning and there was always a wait to get a washer. Beds were the typical hard Chinese style, but not as hard as one other hotel we stayed at. Did not eat at the restaurant so cannot comment. Helpful staff member got a driver to the Terra Cotta Warriors for 300Y (400Y was official hotel price). The driver took us to an overpriced restaurant for lunch and an extra factory tour, but I'll never know if a hotel-provided driver would have been different. Everyone in Xi'an seemed to be looking for a way to rip off tourists, more than any of the other cities we visited! But the extra stops did not really detract from a great time.
