Canaan International Hotel is located in the very heart of Xi'an City Defence Walls .It is 25 miles from the international airport and is close to the various city attractions such as Bell Tower, Drum Tower, Big Wild Goose Pagoda, the forest of Steles and several other places.

Great staff!
It was difficult for us to find the hotel because I had the address only in English and no phone number to call for directions! It was hidden behind another hotel with no English name in sight--we found it only through the kindness of an English speaking Chinese young man who made calls on his phone for us, got us on a bus, and saw us to the hotel! But once we got there, the staff were outstanding, very helpful to secure a driver for us to get to the terracotta warriors since our time there was short. The walk was too long from the Bell Tower on a very hot day.

The ladies at The Desk were as
The ladies at The Desk were as halpful as they could be with a foreign tourist. They were ALWAYS prepared to solve any problems I had even if they were not able to solve them themselves! These ladies were always polite and helpful and tried very hard to solve any problem as quickly as they could. I enjoyed staying at Xi'an Canaan International Hotel and would stay there again if I returned to Xi'an!

We got 2 rooms and only stayed
We got 2 rooms and only stayed the night to see the Terricotta Warriors. The carpet was stained and walls had marks on it, but it didn't worry us. Great price and it good they let us check in at 7am because of our early train arrival. The Location is 5 minutes but taxi from train station.

Hotel Canaan in Xi'an
This hotel is a good value for the price. The location is good. It is directly behind the Hyatt which is within walking distance of the bell tower, city wall, and train station. The staff spoke English well enough but not great. Check in was a snap and the staff was able to explain how to get to the terracotta warriors. The hotel is by no means new but has been maintained well. I'd say it has a lot of personality. The only thing that would have improved my opinion is if the air con/fan worked a little better. The room was a bit stuffy. I would have no problems staying here again if I visited Xi'an.

Time-saving tip:
Short walk from hotel
There is a 24 hour mini mart just down the street from the hotel entrance. Also, taxis won't take you to the Bell Tower for the airport shuttle since the distance is so short. Either leave with enough time to walk or just take a taxi to the airport.

飯店內所安排之自費旅遊,每次收費都與接洽的不符; 等到開車時,都會有突然追加之項目,讓人觀感很不舒坦. 我們出來旅遊不會太計較,只是總有誤上賊船的錯覺! 其實他應該在接洽時,就應該如實告知.
