Renaissance Suzhou Hotel

The Suzhou Renaissance brings American comfort to a this nice town on the lower reaches of the Yangtze River. The hotel is very clean and comfy, the staff very helpful and can understand and speak good english (you really need a translator outside). I checked in late in the night and the check-in was pretty smooth, the bar was open late and I ordered some soup and snacks. The hotel has a decent restaurant, good western breakfast and you can order in to your room too. The hotel has a nice gym and spa, but no pool!. The room was business like setup, with a large desk and chair, has wired internet for a reasonable price, clean large bed and sheets, in-room mini-bar, sufficient storage for a single person. The room had great views of the river at a distance. Most of the city, restaurants, pubs was accessible by a short taxi drive. The cleaning staff cannot speak any english, you need to call in for any change of services.
