Days Inn Shenzhen

Located less than 100 m from exit E of Lao Jie subway stop and right next to Dongmen shopping district. Nice room. Helpful staff that speaks english. The only negatives are no hair dryer and deceiving listing that says there are laundry facilities. Clothes need to be sent out to be washed.

My wife and I really enjoyed our stay here. It's in a nice quiet area that feels refreshing after being in the city during the day. An easy bus connection into Hong Kong city - or a taxi is always waiting outside the door of the hotel and the prices for taxis are very reasonable. It's really nice for getting up to Victoria Peak. We even walked to the mid-way station and got on the tram at that point. BUT, don't try in on Saturdays. Saturday's in Hong Kong aren't pleasant. Seems like very person in the city is on the streets. Hard to even find a taxi in the city.

Location convenient to shops, restaurants and transportation.Clean modern room with good room service and friendly staff. My only compliant is that the hotel did not provide an extra roll of toilet paper and box of tissue and I even had to ask for more soap.

Hotel room was clean and reasonably comfortable, but the A/C is incredibly weak. It took a few hours each evening to get the room down to a bearable temperature. Currently there is a *lot* of construction in the area around the hotel so outside is noisy and dusty.

Overall facilities/location are good. Restaurant which is on the opposite side of the hotel is good and reasonable price. Room was booked for 3 nights. But after showed them confirmation voucher, they said have not yet received the money from their agent even I paid them since Feb. Also, before I flew, The e-mail for rechecking the booking status was resent for safety sake but no any response. What they did towards me and my wife was asking to stay another hotel and asked me to pay the first night room rate plus deposit. Even they said this amount can be refunded if they can receive the money from their agent, but if they couldn’t how can I….. They should done everything before guests check-in not asking guest to do as per their own. The day later, we contacted them again and found everything was cleared and settled smoothly. Anyway, I do still recommend this hotel to whom would like to find good locations for shopping and dining with clean and reasonable price.

This is my 2nd time staying at Days Inn Shenzen. Location is very good near Dongmen shopping area and Laojie mrt. Porter, George is very efficient and able to assist in terms of transport and other queries. only complaint is the pillow is too soft to sleep on. Definitely going back to stay at Days Inn Shenzen again for the next visit to Shenzen. IVY Singapore 6 June 2011

Great stay the staff could not be helpfull enough. They even did a great job getting me back to the airport. The front desk manager was outstanding with helping me anytime I needed it.

Air conditioning seemed to turn off during the night therefore the room became hot and stuffy by early morning, staff friendly and helpful, dining room excellent, though the waitress always came up with the bill and wanted it to be signed as you were eating your corn flakes, I think that could have waited until you had finished the course and then asked you to sign, internet available for ipad in the lobby.
