Early November in Shenyang
The SunRise is a very nice hotel by anyone's standards. The service I had couldn't have been better; the English at the desk was quite good, which helped me because my Chinese isn't so good. I had a problem with a FedEx package, and the assistant manager was willing to put his time into the effort of tracking the package (which was successful). The breakfast food (Western and Chinese) is excellent, and the room was very comfortable. I was fortunate to arrive in Shenyang on a fairly clear, crisp November day, perfect for walking around the huge park where the emperor's tomb is. Shenyang isn't a tourist destination, but there are excellent restaurants and friendly people. I'd return to the SunRise in any case.
