The Peninsula Shanghai is the newest and only hotel on the historic Bund. It offers 235 supremely comfortable rooms including 44 suites. Inspired by the Art Deco period and Golden Age when Shanghai was the Paris of the East, this stylish new hotel provides a glamorous setting together with breathtaking views of the Bund, Huangpu River, Pudong and former British Consulate gardens.

- The Lobby
- A signature feature of each Peninsula hotel, The Lobby is the heart of the hotel, serving light meals, drinks and the celebrated Peninsula Afternoon Tea, with live music every afternoon and evening. The Lobby sets the tone of drama and elegance for the rest of the hotel a double-height space, in cream with celadon accents and featuring a black marble floor, limestone walls, an Art Deco-inspired backlit carved glass ceiling, along with spectacular chandeliers, a minstrels gallery and two double-storey high murals.
- Yi Long Court Chinese Restaurant
- Themed on the residence of a Shanghainese nobleman in the 1930s, Yi Long Court offers authentic Cantonese cuisine, with seven private dining rooms and a Chefs Table. Each area features a different room of the home, including the Study, Family Room and Library. A highlight of Yi Long Court is the elevator - a replica of an antique elevator from the 1930s now in the Belgian Lift Museum in Brussels -, which was specially reproduced for The Peninsula by the Schindler Group.
- Sir Ellys Rooftop Restaurant, Bar & Terrace
- Sir Ellys Rooftop Restaurant, Bar & Terrace will offer international fine dining with a double height dining room, an extensive U-shaped terrace for al fresco dining and cocktails, a circular bar and a selection of six private rooms on two levels, all with breathtaking views of the city, Huangpu River and the Bund, ensuring that this locale quickly becomes Shanghais premier destination venue.
- Compass Bar
- A model of the Shenking 2 boat that plied the Huangpu River and coastline during the 1920s is the centrepiece of an extensive collection of marine memorabilia celebrating Shanghais maritime history in the unique Compass Bar.
- Salon de Ning
- Resembling an elegant drawing room in a private residence in Shanghai in the 1930s, the Salon de Ning bar and lounge offers a range of signature cocktails, light meals and occasional dancing in the evenings. The third in the York the venue is poised to become Shanghais watering hole of choice, similar to its two sister establishments

Peninsula Shanghai
Impeccable hotel, super rooms, great location on the Bund. The hotel guest lobby is a bit small and concierge and hotel staff are located in areas with lots of outside traffic so it can be a bit difficult to get personal service. Staff was super friendly and competent.
