Crystal Orange Hotel Hangzhou

The location is great--an easy walk from West Lake. It was worth buying breakfast, so we didn't waste time finding a place to eat. The staff is friendly, but "turn left and then right" may mean make 3 left turns! Let the hotel summon a taxi if you wish to get to a museum or a particular restaurant. There is a very nice, slightly expensive Japanese Restaurant with a fixed price menu ($20 or $25 each person) that has a great cod dinner. It is North of the hotel (on a very busy street) past a lot of expensive car dealerships.

This was a fine small Chinese hotel with excellent if somewhat small rooms. The beds were very comfortable but my wife and I love the very firm Chinese hotel beds. The location was very good. a two minute walk to the park around West Lake, and a 10 minute walk to the lake shore. The stay was a very good value. Staff spoke minimal English, but this did not create a problem. The Brazilian barbeque restaurant connected to hotel is very good and a good value too.

I had a chance to stay in this hotel in May2011, Location is best for people Interested only in western lake or if you are single visitor. when you book this hotel remember to tell them exact type of room you want. I booked as couple with an option on site (Superior Twin or Double or King) and they gave me Twin :( because of no availability although I had booked a week before. The hotel is very small and in a corner location I would suggest to try Holiday Inn that offers much more in same price.

Great location as only 5 min walking distance to the West Lake. This is more of a boutique hotel, so best to print out the hotel name and address in chinese. Rooms are small, but new with a contemporary touch. Alright for double or single travelers who do not plan to stay in the room much. TV channels are all in mandarin and staff at the reception have difficulty communicating in english. Also remember to ask for a room with window. Price is reasonable for its location.

Location is good, room is clean and nice. I like the room design and bath room. Except that :- 1) the air-conditioning was poor (could not adjust the room temp. It is very stuffy. After complaining to the hotel at first night, they fixed it on next day...it was slightly better but not enough. After suffered 2 nights....we opened the window to sleep...then closed it again at mid-night...did not sleep well for all 3 nights!) 2) Our room is 3rd floor and the window is just facing the muslim tomb. It is just next to the hotel...:)<

Great location. Bikes bit old.

Everything is superb! Great location, just opposite the West Lake (Nearest tourist spot is Lei Feng Tower, about 5 minutes walk). It is easy to hunt for food and taxi around the area. The room setting is very cosy, and welcomes u with a small lonely fish named Andrew. Hotel staffs are very hospitality and informative.

Refreshing to find the rubik's cube & little fish in the room and also chocolate on the pillow.

We were visiting our son this was a charming place to relax and see a beautiful part of China. We don't speak Chinese but the Hotel staff were wonderful and assisted us in every way.
