A dump
Good location but thats about it. The hotel was a dump. Rooms were dirty. Lots of hair on the floor. Dust. Linens looked like they hadnt be changed and were old and ratty. Insufficient towels in the bathroom. Smelled like smoke. Wifi was only available in the lobby. Construction outside the hotel so it was difficult getting in and out of the hotel.

Cheap good location but old and not so clean
the location is good, just near the Guangzhou East Station but hotel is not so clean and the single room that I stayed is very small. Do not expact too much with cheap price offering.

This place is nicely situated
This place is nicely situated just west of the east station. It's easy to find due to the lilac (coloured) signs. The rooms are clean and roomy with tasteful wicker furniture. There is a large courtyard with a carp filled pond - great if you want to get out of the room and can't face the whirl of the streets outside. The 2 bummers are: beds are rock hard (you can ask for an extra futon which helps a little) and there's no fridge (bad news for beer drinkers). The staff at the Lilac are very friendly and polite. In general it's excellent value.

Good hotel for the price. Lots
Good hotel for the price. Lots of space with separate kitchen, lounge and bedroom. Excellent service. We arrived at 7am from the airport and were shown sraight to our rooms. Only downer was that the bed was rock hard.

Il manque vraiment un endroit
Il manque vraiment un endroit sympa pour manger et boire un verre le soir dans cet hôtel. Cela se fait pour l'instant dans le hall d'entrée où il y a un courant d'air important.
