Guangzhou hotel by Chinese Export Commodities Fair with free breakfast
Located in the bustling city center, Guangzhou Hotel Elan is near the Museum of the Nanyue King Mausoleum and Zhenhai Tower. On-site amenities include a restaurant that serves complimentary buffet breakfast each day, ticket and tour assistance and a concierge desk as well as free newspapers in the lobby and high-speed or wireless Internet access in guest rooms. Also, the guest rooms have nightly turndown service, slippers and refrigerators as well as in-room safes, cosmetic mirrors and windows that open. Limited room service is also available.

Just what I needed
I arrived late at night before an early morning flight from Guangzhou to Beijing. The staff spoke great english, they were helpful in giving the taxi driver good directions, they booked me a 6AM taxi and gave me a wake up call. The room was clean, quiet and the bed was comfortable. I will always stay here from now on. I like the clean modern design of the hotel as well. Not one complaint.

If riding the train in be sure to continue past the Guangzhou East station and get off at the last station. this will avoid the need for a taxi or make the taxi trip very short.

Hidden Gem Amongst Many
Best to summarize with points: - I'm on a business Trip. I'm from New York. - Stayed for five nights, booked 2 nights via cheap tickets and 3 once I liked hotel and ended up paying more here. Save money, book entire trip online. - Stayed in 1 King size bed room. Big, comfy, clean bed. - Clean Room. Very Clean. - Complimentary Water, Coffee Pot in Room. - EXCELLENT Bathroom. Clean, modern, complimentary toothbrush, paste, soap, shower gel, shampoo. - EXCELLENT free breakfast. I've stayed at many chinese hotels and this was the best breakfast. Fresh Western Egg Buffet with toast. Can't get better than that. - Free items to borrow such as Iron, 220V to 110V transformer, other business items including desk. I could NEVER get this at other hotels I've stayed at for this price. - Free Wifi and hardwirec Ethernet internet access. Wifi seemed to only work half the time but they have a Long hardwired ethernet wire connected to a router in the room. Works, is fast, cannot complain. Excellent. - Overall experience: you cannot do better in Guanzhou for the price. Located walking distance to fashion clothing market and shoe market. 7-11 and grocery stores right downstairs. 24 hour Mcdonalds 5 min walking distance. I did not take 1 cab since all my work locations were right here.

Rooms are small. View overlook some old dirty building on both sides of the hotel. Hallway carpets were worned out and dirty. Location not good, but the staffs were helpful and friendly. Paid for 3 nights and only stayed for 2.

not a great location
Similar to fair Motel 6 in the USA. Across the street was an inexpensive restaurant with good food. The location of the hotel is not great, breakfast was ordinary, but clean room and nice staff.

We love this hotel. Small but
We love this hotel. Small but adequate rooms with bright decor and in room safe. Beds could be softer but not as hard as some in China. The staff are delightful, nothing is too much trouble and every exit and entry to the building is met with a smile. The local area is safe and close to the clothing, shoe and jewellery markets. It is very close to the trade fairs. They have the best omlettes included in the free breakfast. Free internet connection in rooms. Lots of restaurants close by. Great value... Give this hotel a try.

Hotel muy recomendable, le gente
Hotel muy recomendable, le gente propia del hotel es muy servicial, estuve 6 dias muy contento en el hotel, sobretodo en los dias de feria el desayuno es muy bueno, comparado con los dias normales...si recomiendo ampliamente este hotel parra una estancia tranquila y agradable....
