Zhongan Hotel Beijing

Located in the middle of one of Beijing's Hutongs, Zhongan Hotel is perfect if you are looking to get a true feel for the city. If you are looking for the traditional higher end type of stay this is not the place for you. The hotel is older BUT very clean. I had a single room which was on the smaller side (8' x 12'). Very comfortable bed, TV, high-speed internet, AC/Heat, and bathroom with standup shower. The staff were all very friendly. Some spoke/understood English a little better than others, but never had much issue with conveying what I needed. I only had breakfast at the hotel restaurant. Very delicious and reasonably priced. It does say traditional Chinese and Western fare on the buffet however boiled eggs and toast were all the Western available. However, I can get that at home!!! The Chinese food was wonderful! If you do not specifically need your own computer while traveling, I highly recommend renting one from the hotel. It was very very inexpensive. Last recommendation would be to get exact directions for yourself or taxi before arriving. The alleys of the hutongs can be tricky at first visit. If you are thinking of taking the subway, it is an easy 4/5 minutes from the closest stop. The hotel is located adjacent to the Beijing Railway station. Was not too noisy but would hear train whistles/horns throughout the night, but not horrible. The Forbidden City & Temple of Heaven were both about a 30 - 40 minute walk from the hotel. Maybe a little quicker; I kept stopping to take pictures! Plenty of shopping and food in the general area of the hotel. Lots of yummy street food :) So if your goal is to have a comfortable,restful and affordable place to stay while exploring Beijing, Zhongan is it.

This hotel is located in an alley near the Beijing Railway Station. Although it is close to Subway Line 2, the alley may look intimidating to those not used to Beijing. The staff was friendly by Beijing standards and some were capable of speaking English. Double rooms tend to be in the back of the hotel and overlook the rail tracks that arrive and depart from the station. As these trains run all night, rooms on that side of the hotel are quite noisy. Windows open or not, you will hear the trains pass just a few feet outside your window. Hot water was hit and miss- during my 8 night stay, there was no hot water in the shower for 2 nights. The bathroom also had an odor. I would recommend this hotel for budget travelers who can tolerate some inconveniences to save money, but this is not a hotel that I would travel to with family.

The hotel is conveniently located close to Beijing railway stn, subway, and there is a good coach connection from the airport. The hotel is located down an old hutong, but dont be put off by the walk to it. There is a railway behind the hotel, but we were not affected by noise from it. The hotel is simple, but meets all the needs of a traveller on a budget. The rooms are small but have enough facilities (air con, shower, kettle, soaps etc). The hotel has a restaurant (good but not expensive), travel desk, small shop

I toured Beijing. I thought the hotel was in a great location, very close to the subway which is a major plus for a budget traveler. the rooms were very small but okay for one person.

初めて行くにはちょっと勇気がいるかもしれません。中国に慣れている人であれば問題なくたどり着けると思いますが、そうでない方は昼間に行ってみるほうが安心です。しかし、危ないという意味ではありません。 胡同ですので、若干分かりにくいだけで、それ以外は大丈夫です。 部屋はちょうど北京駅が見える部屋で、新幹線や普通列車がひっきりなしに 動いています。窓は2重になっていますので、音はほとんど漏れません。 売店は小さいですが、必要なものはそろっています。 セイフティBOXは奥に通されます？小さいので が、問題ありませんでした。 最終日にタクシーを予約（朝5時）したのですが、ちゃんと来ていました。 ちなみに私は英語も中国語もほとんど話せませんので、それでも不安は ありませんでした。 また利用したいと思います。

設備は値段を考えれば良いと思います。基本的に清潔ですが、シャワールームは水はけは良いのですが、排水口より下がっている床の部分があるので一部に水がたまってしまうのが困ったものでした。その他は良かったと思います。

日本語は通じませんが、簡単な英語で会話はできました。 なんといっても北京駅から徒歩５分で安価なのは大変助かりました。 次回も利用したいとおもいます

close to the train station, an average hotel but service was great, more than I expected, price was the most atractive, you have to take metro to go all the turistic atractions, the closest metro station is always colapsed

「わかりにくい場所」というのが気になっていたのですが、すぐにわかりました。バスターミナルの先から入っても、駅よりの小道から入っても、緑色の小さな案内看板が電柱にかかっていました。持参のノートPCでのネットも快適でした。

２つ星ホテルの中でGOODなHOTELです。 場所も一度路地を間違えたくらいでした。 マネージャーデスクがあるのにうけました！
