Beijing hotel conveniently located on Wangfujing shopping street

Location is the top selling point of this 206-room Chinese hotel. The property stands in the heart of the Wangfujing shopping street, next to Oriental Plaza and the enormous Wangfujing Bookstore. Guests can stroll to the Wangfujing subway station on line 1 in five minutes, Donghuamen night market within 10 minutes, and the Forbidden City in 15 minutes. Business and executive rooms are extra spacious.

Highlights
  • Located in the heart of Wangfujing shopping street
  • 10- to 15-minute walk to Donghuamen night market and Forbidden City
  • Spacious business and executive rooms
Rooms

Many of the 206 rooms and suites encircle an open central atrium. All rooms come with a mini-bar, safe, bathrobe, television with satellite channels, and free high-speed Internet access (fees may apply). The small budget rooms (175 square feet) lack a window. Standard rooms measure 258 square feet, while business and executive rooms (387 to 430 square feet) offer more room to stretch out. A neutral color palette and contemporary furnishings create a relaxing atmosphere. Some rooms have a glass wall between the bathroom and bedroom. Some rooms on higher floors facing outward offer city views and a quieter stay than rooms over the atrium.

Features

The Four Season restaurant serves a menu of Western-style dishes. Green Wave specializes in traditional Chinese fare. Guests can work up a sweat in the modest fitness center or sauna. A tour desk can help guests plan daytrips around Beijing.

Location is everything!

This hotel is practically located at the center of everything you want to see in Beijing, located right in the Wangfujing Ave. Subway station is just two minutes away which connects to a web of attractions. The Forbidden City and the vicinity are all within walking distance. Wangfujing food and shopping area is just around the corner. Now the not-so-good stuff: room is smaller than expected, bed is firm, but again all beds in China are practically the same. Rest room is reasonably clean but the carpet is stained and old. Did not use the hotel restaurant because there are too many selections just outside the hotel.

Location yes, but..........

An overnight stay was quite sufficient to judge this place to be our worst hotel experience for many years. Our 'deluxe room with a king size bed' was a joke - a shoe box with a largeish double bed, grubby carpet and quirky 3/4 frosted bathroom wall window. The buffet breakfast was quite the worst meal we had during our 2 1/2 week stay in China. The hotel seems to survive purely on its location.

Extremely convenient location

Extremely convenient location just off Íõ¸®¾®, and only about 100m up from ³¤°²´ó½Ö. Facilities got marked down because VPN access was blocked on the Internet connection.

North Garden Experience

This holet has super location and great price. It's in the heart of the busiest shopping malls and tourist attraction center in Beijing. It's also in walking distance to many great restaurants. The building looks decent. The only complaints are 1. the color of the paint in the hallway (on 10th floor where my room was) doesn't look appealing and old and 2. One of the equipment in the gym has severe static problem due to dry weather. It should have been grounded properly. Overall, I enjoyed the stay and will use it again especially for the price.
