The Hotel is located at CBD and close to those newly developed business areas in the east side of Beijing, e.g. World Trade Centre, Jianwai SOHO, Beijing R&F City etc. The Hotel is right next to the subway station, only 5 minutes walk. Besides, it is in the neighborhood of a local community, guests can understand Chinese culture by chatting with those friendly local residents. The sophisticated bus and subway networks give easy access to many tourist destinations and there is around 35 minutes drive away from the airport.

Great brand new hotel for a budget trip

Excellent service, spotless clean hotel, modern, brand new and fresh decorations. The hotel is a tad difficult to find even for locals and cab drivers because it is located in the actual core center of a block - typical Huton style neighbourhood, but once you've identified the brightly lighted orange arch with the Chinese name on it you'll have no problems. It is half block away from the entrance of the the subway Line 10. Remember which exit/entrance you take (the closest is "Exit A") as the subway stations are humongous and you can be walking around endlessly. Make sure to have the name of the hotel and the address written in Chinese characters as taxi drivers will not be able to read neither Pinyin nor English. It is also convenient to have the hotel telephone number handy for the taxi driver to call the hotel for directions in case they get lost. Remember which airport terminal you need to go on your way back or ask the airline or the booking agency because there are 3 different terminals (1, 2 and 3)far away from each other. Re subway: you can get to the hotel from the airport or the train station by subway, there is an express airport subway line which connects with all the other lines. You have to take the Line 10 to Jingson station and exit through exit A, when you are on the street level go backwards, do not cross the avenue, the hotel archway entrance is just around the corner in the middle of the block. If you buy a single trip card in one of the vending machines at the subway station do not throw it away since you will need it to open the turnstill on your way out. Also keep in mind that these cards are recycled. They do not exchange currency at the hotel but conveniently there is a Bank of China half a block from the hotel right in the opposite corner where you can exchange currency and get the best possible rate. They rip you off at the airport exchange office with the commission fees....still you need some cash, so it's better to get money from an ATM at the airport instead.Friendly and helpful Staff, even though almost none of them speak English they manage to help you anyway. Make sure to have a dictionary or a guide with common phrases in Chinese, it is extremely necessary. There are two large supermarkets around the corner, a convenience store in the same street and a kiosk for cigarettes or beverages right in the entryway of the hotel. There are sitting areas with tables and chairs where you can eat your food, as in a lounge setting, with a microwave, refrigerator and some handy snaks-food/drink supplies for a reasonable price. Down the block there is a famous bakery where you can get delicious cakes or treats. The inner rooms face a small central courtyard very well tendered with a large tree and a pond with goldfish: simply beautiful! This is ideal if you like to sit and meditate in a quiet place or you can just open your window and listen to the chirping birds. The rooms have wonderful heating and AC. They have a flat LCD TV and lots of mirrors but scarce closet space. There is an electric kettle in the room and a dispenser of drinkable water in the lounge area. They provide you with tea bags. Also there are some helpful gimmicks as shampoo, shower gel, toothbrush and toothpaste in the bathroom, loafers, etc. Towels are of good quality and the bed is superb. There are double windows in the rooms which makes a perfect sound proof barrier. Amazingly the hotel is extremely quiet despite being by a busy crossroad. It is relatively close to all main attractions by subway but you'll need to commute once or twice to get anywhere and it will take you at least half and hour if you manage the laberynthic corridors and stairs. Signs are abundant and clear enough, connecting stations have voice instructions both in Chinese and English. Try to avoid rush hour... Conveniently taxis are cheap and abundant. If you dare, you can also rent a byke at the hotel or at a shop inside the huton. It is a total blast!
