This place is HUGE. Everything about it -- the lobby, the rooms, the bed, the gym. It's less of a hotel than a palace. It's just that big.
Even though the place is huge, the staff is very friendly and helpful. Most speak some English; a few speak
it very well.
Location is good in terms of being close to the main tourist sites -- Tiananmen Square, the Forbidden Palace, Temple of Heaven, etc.
The hotel is a little hard to find, however. It's tucked off a small road off Zhushikou Road. Look for the giant bridge with the math equations; that's where the small road is.
Oh, and the buffet is overpriced and not super high quality. You can get better food elsewhere.
Hotel features (5 = best, 1 = worst):
Short walk from hotel
There's a Bianyifang just up the road -- some of the best Peking duck in the city. Not to be missed.
I only stayed in this hotel for one night.
However it was magnificent. The location was a bit hard to find, as most taxi drivers struggled to understand us.
However the rooms were elegant, and clean.
The pool was superb and the hotel was first
I have no complaints, whatsoever.
