Five-star business district hotel convenient to Beijing sights
This 460-room five-star hotel was the first Chinese-Japanese joint-venture property when it opened in 1990. New Otani is located next to the diplomatic and business districts and caters to business travelers with extensive conference facilities and updated executive rooms. Subway lines 1 and 2 across the street take leisure travelers to major Beijing attractions. Seven bars and restaurants offer a mix of cuisines, with some also providing unique entertainment.

Good Value but room for improvement
Hotel New Otani Chang Fu Gong is one of the original 5-star hotels in Beijing. The official check-in time is 2pm but we got to the hotel early at around 10am and we got our room after 30 minutes of waiting for the room to be cleaned. The staff was courteous. The lobby and amenities still seemed to be adequate to be a 5-star hotel, however our room especially the bathroom was more of 3.5-star.

Million miles traveller
Reasonable place
Located at near the financial center of Beijing, this hotel is mainly for business travellers. Price is reasonable and the service is good, however the building itself is a little old. Restaurants offers good foods and they are not too expensive. Compared to the same New Otani Hotel at San Francisco and the one in Tokyo, this one marks a little below in overall ranking but meets my expectation. I've stayed at other very expensive ($300+) hotels at Beijing for business trips, but this one fits my personal budget. Unless you want to look at impressive building and interior architecture, this one is good enough for all pruposes. It is neither a Marriott at Manhattan, nor Fairmont at San Francisco, but comparable to most chains in the U.S.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this hotel and it is close to all amenities. The staff there are excellent, very friendly and always ready to help. Highly recommended. Will definitely stay at this hotel again on my next visit.

５月連休に2泊しました。 普通のツインに追加ベッドをいれて家
５月連休に2泊しました。 普通のツインに追加ベッドをいれて家族３人でしたが、部屋も明るく、快適でした。 フロントには日本人の方が案内してくれて、チェックインほか色々丁寧にしていただきました。有難う御座いました。ホテル最寄りの地下鉄駅も近く、その建国門駅は地下鉄１号線、２号線の交差にあり、天安門、王府井も一本路線。JTBの１日観光に参加したのですが、このホテルはバススタート地点にもなっているので、集合にも便利でした。 HOTEL CLUBにて朝食込みのプログラムがあるともっとよかったのですが・。 回またお世話になりたいです。

日系ホテルなのでもう少し日本語に流暢なスタッフがたくさん居るのかと思っていましたが、どこに居るのかわかりませんでした。簡単な質問であれば英語で聞いていました。 また、5つ星と聞いていたのでシャンプーを持っていかなかったのですが、失敗でした。アメニティがいまいちです。 NHKが常に見られるので嬉しいです。
